FOSTER HOME NEEDED! ALL OF MY PICTURES ARE AVAILABLE BELOW! MY ORIGINAL INTAKE INFORMATION: Hi! My name is Scout. I came to CSAC from a Shelter. I was found as a stray so I am a mystery. I am very young. My CSAC friend says I am happy, friendly, curious and full of energy. I like stuffed toys and playing tug. I do need training - lot of training. My CSAC friend put me in a crate to take me to the kennel. I really did not like that and told her so! She says I pull a lot on a leash and I am really strong. I need a family who has experience training new dogs and can give me an active, happy home. Is that you? For more information about this dog, email our Adoption Coordinator. ALL OF MY PICTURES ARE AVAILABLE BELOW! 09/07/2017 - UPDATE - Bonjour! Je m'appelle Paris. I am an older gal who is energetic and full of life. My wonderful foster dad says I defy my age. When it is bedtime and the other two pups are ready to settle down for the night, I am game for some more fun. Dad says I am up for play whenever. I really do have the best foster dad. I love him so much, and I show him that all the time by following him all over the place. I just LOVE to be with him. Dad says I am like Velcro. I honestly think he loves that I adore him so much. He says I whine a bit when he is out of my sight. Oh, speaking of my sight, I have to get eye drops every day, but I am good about it. I am really great with all people. I live with two other pups, and the one pup and I get along well together. The oldest pup and I sometimes have little issues over food or attention. We both want Dad's attention at the same time, so Dad has to be extra careful that we behave ourselves when we are together. Perhaps I would be better as the only dog so I can get all the attention all the time. Anyway, I am so eager to meet my family and show them what a sweet and loving girl I am. I am hoping that someday very soon I will be with my family. Merci beaucoup. Avec amour -Paris MY ORIGINAL INTAKE INFORMATION: Hello, my name is Paris. FOSTER HOME NEEDED! ALL OF MY PICTURES ARE AVAILABLE BELOW! 10/02/2017 - UPDATE - Hello to all my friends and new friends. I am writing this before I go to an adoption show to hopefully meet my new family. I am doing so much better than when the rescue got me, I want to tell you all about it. First of all, I had very painful ears and a skin infection. I was not a real happy boy, obviously. Well, after CSAC got me all fixed up (thanks so much to all those nice vet people) I have NO pain. I am such a happy, relieved, and lucky boy to feel so wonderful now. I am doing fun things like playing ball. I wasn't much of a ball player before, so now I am learning to retrieve the ball. Now that I have lost some weight I feel better, too. I love to roll over and have my flat tummy rubbed! I am still a treat LOVER, though, don't think that has changed. My best friend at the kennel is so happy with me, and she just loves me. She gives me tons of attention which I love. She says I am the BEST pup in the car EVER. I love the rides and she is eager to take me places since I am so well behaved. All in all, I am a great boy who is doing really well. I am hoping soon that my family will come find me and take me to my new home. You do know that I need to be an only pup in the house. I know that not everyone wants lots of pups, so if you want one, I am IT!!!! My best friend will tell you all about me, too. Please ask CSAC about me. I will love you forever and be your best friend in the world. Hugs and kisses. Love - Theodore 07/31/2017 - UPDATE - Wow, I have had a long recovery, and I am finally getting out of the vet hospital. My ears were tricky. They had gone so bad for so long, they took awhile to heal completely. My infections are finally GONE! My skin has cleared up, my ears are now mended, and I am ready for a new home! I want to run a lot, play a lot, eat a lot and get a lot of love. Are you ready? 07/5/2017 - UPDATE - Hi everyone. After a few tests on my skin, the vets found out that I do not have allergies, but I do have a very tough skin infection. They have started giving me shots of an antibiotic to try to get rid of it. Unfortunately, I still need to have ear ablation because the nasty bacteria on my skin destroyed my ears. Sigh. I am a great pup who needs a great new home who can help keep me healthy. I am great in the car, and I am great on a leash. I really don't know about kids though - maybe if they were older and would play with me. I should be the only prince at home. I am ok meeting other dogs but I don't want to live with any. MY ORIGINAL INTAKE INFORMATION: Hello, my name is Theodore. My owner could no longer afford to take care of me and asked CSAC to help find me a new home. Right now, I am in the caring hands of one of the great Vets that work with the CSAC. They are checking me out and making sure I am healthy. I have a history of bad allergies. I need a home with someone who understand my special needs and can keep me healthy and happy. I will need an ear ablation because my ears are so bad. I love people. I have been around other dogs but have not lived with any for awhile. I am house trained. I do like my food and do not like to share. I have been to the vets A LOT for my allergies so sometimes I now get a little nervous at the vets. Hopefully, I will find my new family that will turn me into a happy, cherished family pet again. Hope to see you soon. For more information about this dog, email our Adoption Coordinator. My CSAC friend says I am a really happy girl now that I have no pain. You know I am not a spring chicken, but my good friend says I truly don't act my age. I LOVE walks and exploring, and wow, when I see a squirrel I am a puppy again! Cats get me pretty excited, too. Guess I am young in spirit. I so want to find a new family to love me and take care of me like my parents did. I am sad that we had to part, but I am excited to meet my new people and show them how wonderful I am. I will love you so very much and keep you company. I like the sofa!! Please ask about me. I promise I will be your special gal and make you happy. Love and kisses - Missie 06/15/2017 - UPDATE - Great news! The most excellent veterinarian was able to remove the large mass in my ear WITHOUT having to remove any of my ear, and the biopsy came back benign. My healing is taking a little time because I was left with a large patch that needs to heal. I am waiting for my new family. How about you? MY ORIGINAL INTAKE INFORMATION: Hi Everyone! My name is Missie, and I just arrived at CSAC from a shelter. I had really nice owners who took very good care of me, but they had to go into care, and I could not go. I am 15 turning 16 in September. I really need a kind person to finish what my orginal owners started - give me a loving home and the medical care I need to finish out the rest of my days. Right now, I am in the caring hands of one of the great Vets that work with the CSAC. They are checking me out and making sure I am healthy. I have a mass in my ear that needs evaluated, and I am hoping for the best. Everyone says I am spunky for my age. My foster mom says I am healing nicely. I just wanted you to know that I am happy here, but I am still waiting patiently for my new family to come and meet me. Please ask CSAC more about me and hopefully we can meet soon. I cannot wait. Thanks so much. Kisses - Macy 06/29/2016 - UPDATE - I am here at my great foster home enjoying my new life. There are even cats here to hang with. They are just great. I am one of those pups who doesn't like other pups, but cats are just perfect for me. Life is good now. I love my four daily walks. I'm really happy to meet people when I am on my walks. Just love all those pets people give me. I do love my people and am not thrilled when they leave me alone. My foster grandmom keeps me company when Mom is at work. She is so wonderful to me. Guess we keep each other company! I love her. Other great things to let you know about is that I have never had an accident in the house. Never! The groomer says I am a very good girl and extra sweet. I love to sleep, too. I even sleep late because Mom likes to do that. I am quite obliging. ;) I can't wait to be someone's special girl. And remember, I love cats - and cheese - and my people! I know there is someone out there just waiting to meet me and take me home. Love and thanks - Macy 12/04/2015 - UPDATE - My skin is getting better. I only get one medicated bath a week now. They did find out I have a thyroid condition so I do get medicine for it. The Docs removed the tumor that was on my front shoulder. Unfortunately it was diagnosed as cancerous. ALL OF MY PICTURES ARE AVAILABLE BELOW! 08/30/2017 - UPDATE - Hi again, friends. My foster mom said I should write to tell you all about myself since she thinks I am such a fabulous gentleman. Mom says I am a sweet, gentle, and loving lap dog. (Honest, these are her words, not mine.) I am really good for all those things like grooming, nail clipping, and even teeth brushing. I am pretty amazing because not all these things are real popular with most pups! The one thing I am not fond of is the hair dryer near my head. No big deal on that. I do get skittish when there are sudden movements and loud noises. I am fine soon, though. I also get afraid of men I have not met before. I usually hide from them, but when I get to know them I am fine. I do get along really well with other dogs. I love my foster siblings and give them kisses. At the adoption shows I was really excited to meet other pups and people. Other things I love is some people food, the nutritious kinds, of course. I like carrots, pumpkin, and strawberries. Dog treats are pretty wonderful, too. Mom says I love to run, but then I come back to stay with her. I am really good company for my people. I like to hang out on the deck, and I also supervise Mom when she does the gardening. I must say she does a fine job. I don't ever cause any mischief, and I am not much of a barker. I know that I have some health problems, but I promise my new family that they will be so happy they gave me a chance because I will love them to the moon and back. I am a REAL GEM says Mom. I love to cuddle in bed with her, I even put my cute little head on the pillow. So, I am looking for my wonderful new family that will treat me like a treasured boy. I will LOVE my new people and pup siblings. PLEASE give me a chance. Thanks for reading this. Hugs and special kisses - Bo 08/20/2017 - UPDATE - Hi. My story has taken a sad turn like a country music song. Once I went to the vet and they gave me a much needed grooming, they found 2 lumps on my body. The Doc removed the lumps and sent them out to biopsy. The news was not good. Both lumps turned out to be Stage 2 mast cell tumors. I have an 80% chance to live 3 years. I am hoping for more...there is always a chance. My best pal, Emma, is looking for her own new family. I'm ok with that as long as my new family has a few dogs I can pal around with. I am good at making friends. I now need a new family who can keep me out in high style. I want to run, play, eat, and get all the love I need. I know it will be tough for my new people, but they will be true saints for giving me what I need for as long as I need it. Can you help? MY ORIGINAL INTAKE INFORMATION: Hello, my name is Bo. Unfortunately, the mounting high costs are beginning to limit the number of dogs we are able to take into our program. Even if you cannot adopt or foster one of our current adoptable dogs, please consider making a donation. The Cocker Spaniel Adoption Center is a 501(c)(3) non-profit charitable organization, and your donations are entirely tax deductible. If you can help, please donate. For more information, visit www.cockeradoptions.org.
