    Rainbow

    Breed: Catahoula Leopard Dog
    Sex: Female Female
    Age: Young
    Location: USA
Posted Breed: Catahoula Leopard Dog (medium coat). Meet Rainbow! She’s a super spunky, 7 month old Catahoula Leopard dog mix looking for a family to call her own. She’s about 45 lbs right now, but will get at least a little bit bigger by the time she’s full grown. Rainbow is definitely still a puppy and has lots of puppy energy! She loves running around the yard or dog park while playing with her dog buddies and also enjoys a good game of fetch. She gets along with other dogs of all sizes, but would probably do best with a friend who can keep up with her rambunctious play style. She also loves people and is a sweet snugglebug when she’s tired. She would do well in an active home with kids, but would likely do better with older kids just because she might knock a smaller one over on accident while she’s jumping and playing! She’s crate trained and is very well behaved in her crate while her foster mom is at work, and overnight too. She’s also doing a great job with her house training; she’ll just need her new family to keep helping her with it so she can make sure to get it down 100 percent. Who wouldn’t want to add this sweet, blue eyed cutie to their family? If you are interested in adopting Rainbow please submit an inquiry directly with Greater Charlotte SPCA by visiting charlottespca.org/adopt. ***Because our rescue is composed entirely of volunteers and we require a home check for each of our adoptable pets prior to them going to their new homes, local applications will take precedence. We will accept out of town applications, but any family further than 60 miles from Charlotte is responsible for finding a representative of a rescue local to them that is willing to perform the home check. All out of town applicants will also have to be willing to drive to Charlotte to meet/pick up the pet as soon as the application is approved.***

Matilda does not demand attention, but instead she sneaks up on you, and you realize how wonderful she is, and how you never want to be without her. You won't have to, when you apply for adoption and bring her forever into your life!!

Posted Breed: Hound (medium coat). You may call 919-772-2326 to speak to a counselor for more information prior to your visit. The SPCA has an adoption counseling process for adopters to learn adoption guidelines and adoption options. It''s a bird, it''s a plane, it''s a COMET! Look at it racing through the sky at top speeds and dazzling all who can see! My name is Comet and I''m here to rock your world and brighten up your life. I hope you are ready for lots of walks and maybe even some running to help me get all of this energy out! Do you have toys? Awesome, I love toys! I don''t have any favorites yet but maybe you can help me figure that out? We can start with some squeaky toys, tennis balls and a peanut butter stuffed Kong! Then you can get out the tasty training treats and we can work on all my commands. After a fun filled day we can snuggle up on the couch and watch your favorite movies or shows! Ah, it sounds like such a perfect life for us! Grab your leash and collar so we can get going! I am full grown at ~47 lbs. *I am currently living at the holding center- please speak with an adoption counselor about meeting me.* ~My adoption fee is $95.0.0~ Cats? Unknown. Dogs? Unknown. Children? Unknown. Housetrained? Unknown. How did I get here? Returned after a few days because my new owners did not have time for me. Many adoptions will take approximately 1 hour or more. Adoption requirements and tips to speed up the adoption process: Please be able to provide a valid photo I.D. with your current address (If your I.D. does not reflect your current address, bring a piece of mail with your name and address on it) Be able to prove that you are allowed to have a pet where you live (proof of home ownership or a copy of your rental lease including the specific pet policy) Bring along all members of your household, including dogs for an introduction to a new dog. However, we do recommend meeting with an adoption counselor before involving children in the pet selection process. To avoid longer wait times, we strongly recommended that dog-to-dog meetings take place after 1:00pm. Participate in adoption counseling process to learn adoption guidelines and adoption options. Adoption Fees: Dogs & Puppies: $115.00 Cats & Kittens: $95.00 Rabbits: $50.00 Adoption fees include: Basic wellness exam, first vaccinations, spay/neuter surgery, microchipping, deworming and flea preventative. All dogs and puppies have received heartworm preventative, and dogs/puppies over the age of six months have been tested for heartworms. All rabbits are spayed or neutered. Understand that the SPCA of Wake County reserves the right to deny an adoption. You may call 919-772-2326 to speak to a counselor for more information prior to your visit.

    Colden

    verified

    rescue
    Breed: Mutt
    Sex: Male Male
    Age: Baby
    Location: USA
Posted Breed: Hound / Chocolate Labrador Retriever / Mixed (short coat). Adoption Fee: $225.00. If you are viewing this dog on a website other than BFPA.org, please go directly to our website for more information on adoption requirements and specifics for this dog. Websites such as Petfinder and Adopt-A-Pet may not show all the information that we have listed. FOSTER PARENT COMMENTS: Colden is a wonderful puppy who is enjoying living indoors now. He is a typical puppy who is exploring the world and learning more every day. Colden likes to play with toys and also is enjoying playing with his sister who we are also fostering. He is working on potty training and doing well. He usually likes to romp around outside but he wasn't too fond of our recent snow! Colden loves to be cuddled and is wondering how he would feel in your arms?? Please consider giving him his forever home. EVERY DOG HAS A STORY: Colden and his siblings were living outside in frigid temperatures along with their Mother. A volunteer alerted BFPA to this situation and we were able to convince the family to surrender the puppies to our rescue group. They are all in warm, wonderful foster homes now and are looking for their forever homes. Some of the information contained in this biography includes approximations based on our expertise and is not guaranteed. We do home visits to finalize adoptions and/or deliver the adopted dog. PLEASE NOTE: Colden has only had one set of vaccines so if a trial adoption begins before his second set of vaccines, the potential adopters will have to keep Colden in their home and yard to minimize the risk of exposure to germs. Interaction with unknown dogs at dog parks, pet stores, doggie day care, etc. should be avoided during this period. ADOPTING A YOUNG PUPPY FROM BFPA: Requires that you live no further than a 30-mile radius from the Triangle area of North Carolina, as you must be close enough for us to meet all the medical procedures we cover before final adoption. We prefer to adopt young puppies to a single, couple or family who have previous experience owning a dog and live in a single family house rather than an apartment, condo or townhome. Any children in the home under 6 years old must have experience living with a dog in their home. INTERESTED IN ADOPTING COLDEN? If so, please fill out our dog adoption application by copying and pasting this link in a new browser window: https://toolkit.rescuegroups.org/of/f?c=WHMSYCNC
