    Freckles

    rescue
    Breed: Great Pyrenees
    Sex: Female Female
    Age: Adult
    Location: USA
Posted Breed: Great Pyrenees. Adoption Fee: 500. Name: Freckles Best Breed Guess: Great Pyrenees (this dog was a breeder release so we believe this is a purebred dog but we do not have papers) Age: 2-3 years Estimated weight: roughly 70 lbs Gender: female Comfortable with children: yes! Freckles foster family has a 3 year old little girl and they are buddies! Dog Friendly: yes Cat Friendly: unknown Fence Required: no History: breeder release Adoption fee: $500 (Adoption fee includes all age appropriate vaccinations, heart-worm test (adult dogs only), microchip implant, and spay/neuter surgery.) Hi! My name is Freckles and I have been living at a foster home learning how to be a pet. I lived at a place where I was used to have puppies and wasn't loved or cared for very well. So glad that's over. Now, I get to live in a house and sleep in a safe and warm place every night. I am 100% house trained, I have never had an accident with my foster family. I have not been crated by my foster family because there is no need to. I am a good girl and wait while they are gone in the downstairs of their home. I may woof a few times because my fosters all left but I settle down downstairs and wait for them to return. At night, I sleep close to my 7 puppies but sometimes they are too noisy and I sneak in to my foster mom's and dad's room to catch some quality sleep. During the day, my absolute favorite thing to do is spent time exploring my fenced in yard. I love being outside and the biggest highlight is when I get to go on a walk. My foster mom takes the other two dogs, me and her two kids (age 1 and 3) all at once for a nice stroll through the neighborhood. I have great leash manners. I would never pull on the leash and love a leisurely pace. I will walk with you however long you want but I am content having a movie night instead, too and sleep nearby. My foster home includes my foster mom and dad, two young kids, two dogs, a cat and chickens. I get along great with everyone but don't have to have another pet in my household. Sometimes, I am scared of people I don't know and it takes me a minute to warm up to them, especially men. But give me a minute to be brave and I won't disappoint and come around to greet you. I am pretty easy going and happy to be finding my own forever family. One thing that makes me unique is my patience. I have raised many puppies and have been a great mom that is calm and very kind to whoever I meet. Check out our Facebook page at www.facebook.com/cornerofkindness Corner of Kindness Adoption Process: Submit your adoption application (can be found at www.cornerofkindness.org) so you can connect with my foster family and ask them your questions about me and maybe you'll even come to meet me! An adoption application doesn't mean you have to adopt me, or that you're the only applicant- it just shows you're interested in me! Corner of Kindness will forward your application to the foster parents who should contact you in 48 hours. Foster parents set up meet and greets so you can meet your potential new family member If everyone feels it’s a good fit then you have a home visit completed Sign an adoption contract Pay the adoption fee Enjoy your new family member! Posted Breed: Great Pyrenees (long coat). Please fill out our short application - the link is below - we are FAST! Our applications are usually processed in less than 7 days but we have done one in less than 8 hours!! I'm a sweet, gentle, drooly guy who gains fans everywhere I go with my beautiful coat and giant Disney face. I love people so much that I will stand and lean against strangers at the vets office, or sit and let kids pet me at the burrito stand. I'm happiest in my foster moms lap, or at least where I can see her. I always let her know if someone is outside the house and make sure they don't dare come near unless she says it's ok. I come running when I'm called with a big happy smile, I sleep through the night, I love riding in the car and I love being walked on a leash (though I'm kind of a slow lumberer.) I love playing with my foster sister, but I sometimes feel anxious around male dogs, so I would be happiest in a household with only a mellow female dog, maybe a submissive male, or I could also be an only dog with a loving human companions. I haven't always had enough to eat or received enough affection, so I sometimes get anxious about food, or pushy about snuggling. I don't EVER try to take my foster sister's food, and only ever worry if I think someone will take mine. But as long as I'm left alone while I eat, I'll walk right by my foster sister eating and go lie down. I will even sit for treats right next to her, and patiently wait my turn. After just a few short months in my foster home with plenty to eat and plenty of love, I'm feeling more relaxed every day, and will continue to blossom with patience and understanding. All of our dogs require secure and VISIBLE fencing. Adoption Fee: $275* Note to NW Adopters: The adoption fee does not include the cost of transport. There are many things YOU can do to help us: 1. Adopt! If this Gentle Giant looks like the one for you, fill out an adoption application today! 2. Foster! This is a temporary commitment that gives all dogs in need the assured time to find the loving home they deserve. Your benevolent decision to foster unquestionably determines whether a loving dog gets to live or die. 3. Donate! Safeguarding these Gentle Giants result in expenses that are in upwards $8/day. If veterinary care is needed, the costs exponentiate to $1,000+ for a single dog. Every penny you donate makes an impact when it comes to vet bills! If you were to make a one-time donation of just $25, you would be adding 3 more valuable days to the life of every rescued dog and provide the chance to find the home they have been waiting for their entire life. As always, all donations are gratefully accepted.
