    Breed: Mastiff
    Sex: Female Female
    Age: Adult
    Location: USA
Posted Breed: Mastiff (medium coat). Hello! I am new to the shelter! My name is Alaina and I am looking for a new home! I was previously an outdoor only dog, but I am really wanting to be an indoor dog! Because of this, I will need some adjustment time and a family with lots of patience, in case it takes me a little longer than most dogs to get used to my new home. I do not like other dogs and I am a diva who unfortunately demands to be the only girl in your life, so no other dog companions for me! I can be timid and nervous around strangers, but once you get to know me, watch out! I''ll cover you with kisses. I do like to chase cats, so I probably shouldn''t go home with any kitties. We are not sure if I would be good in a home with kids, I would need to meet all kiddos to see how I like them. The staff is still getting to know me, so stop by today to meet me for yourself. The Adoption Fee Includes: - initial canine distemper combination vaccination - first worming or stool check - rabies vaccination (for animals over 3 months of age) - AVID microchipping - flea treatment/preventative - spaying or neutering Adoption fee: $115.00 Per state law, Beaver County Residents must purchase a non-refundable 2017 dog license at time of adoption for any canine three months and older. The cost of the license is $7.00. (Senior Citizen or Person with Disability-$5.00)

    Breed: Mastiff

    Age: Senior
    Location: USA
Posted Breed: Mastiff. Adoption Fee: 225.00. PLEASE NOTE: GPMR communicates primarily by email. If you have any questions regarding one of our Mastiffs, please read their bio and if you still have questions- drop us an email at info@greatplainsmastiffrescue.org . If you have questions about our adoption procedures, please go to our Pages of Interest on the left hand column under "Adoption Info." We answer email inquiries almost immediately-usually always within a few hours and phone calls are returned with 24-36 hours. GPMR does not have a shelter. All of our dogs are kept in loving foster homes. We must have a completed adoption application on file before meeting any of our mastiffs. GPMR adopts to the states of Oklahoma, Texas, Kansas, Arkansas, Missouri, Louisiana and parts of Colorado. !!!Any mastiffs being adopted out of the state of Oklahoma require a health certificate to be paid for by the adopter!!! Meet Ollie! He was rescued from a shelter when he was surrendered by his owner who could not keep him any more. Ollie is about 8 years old and he has some arthritis that we often see with these older guys. We've started him on meds for that and it seems to make him feel better so far. Thankfully he tested negative for heartworms, we were thrilled! Ollie's foster mom reports he is extremely smart. He figured out how to open the trash can and also a gate. Pretty impressive for a Mastiff! He does well with other dogs. A home without young kids would be best due to his arthritis, we wouldn't want any little ones accidentally falling on Ollie and hurting him. Ollie is being fostered in Dallas, TX. Meet Bear! Bear was rescued from a shelter in AR. The vet estimated him at 5 years old but his foster mom thinks he's at least 7 years old. He looks like he's had a rough life before coming to us. He has callouses on his legs indicating he was probably living outside on rough surface. His coat was thin and patchy but has improved now that we've got him on a good diet. Bear has been good with other dogs and is learning to live with cats as well. He's done great with kids. This boy is really just a big teddy bear. This poor guy has been through a lot since we've had him. Bear tested positive for heartworms and started treatment, but then started having several fainting spells, so the vet felt it was best to stop the treatment as he was worried Bear's heart wouldn't be able to take it. Bear also had surgery to remove bladder stones that were obtructing him. He now is on a prescription diet to keep those from reforming, which costs approximately $85 a bag. With our winter weather rolling in, Bear has started showing signs of arthritis. We've started him on supplements to see if that will help. Despite all of this, he has remained and loving and loyal companion. He is looking for a special home, is that home yours? If you aren't able to adopt, please consider a donation for his care! Bear is being fostered in Edmond, OK. Save a Mastiff...Adopt, Foster, Volunteer!

    Breed: Mastiff
    Sex: Female Female
    Age: Adult
    Location: USA
Posted Breed: Mastiff / Chocolate Labrador Retriever (short coat). Adoption Fee: 200. Daisy is THE SWEETEST dog I've fostered to date. She is a striking 3-year-old chocolate lab & mastiff mix. She's very calm, sweet and loving, despite having had a rough life prior to being saved. She has incredibly good manners, and takes her time to warm up to strangers. She's having a BLAST playing with her foster siblings, and has ZERO reaction to kids, aggressive dogs, or cats. She’s friendly and with a little gentle coaxing, loves everyone. Daisy is so ready for a loving family in his forever home. (already spayed)

    Location: USA
Posted Breed: Mastiff (short coat). Zani's al fresco Summer Adoptions follow us on FB to find us this summer as we will try new locations to meet the needs of NYC and support the little stores:) This very skinny Mastiff, Sasha, 3y young, was left alone tied up and starved--kept w/ intention of breeding her in Egypt. A kind rescuer fought hard to take her from her previous owner and is doing everything for her so that she can come here and be adopted to an understanding family who will fatten this beauty up! She is dog friendly, verdict out on cats, no resource guarding which is unusual for hungry bunnies! Please apply if you are interested in helping this skinny miss. Facebook: Zani's Furry Friends ZFF (weekly adoption event info posted there) Twitter: zanisff Instagram: zanisfurryfriends Please go to our site http://zanisfurryfriends.org fill out an application and return to dogs@zanisfurryfriends.org Many of us (cats/dogs) will be on display on on Sundays and sometimes on Saturdays--please ask by writing us at dogs@zanisfurryfriends.org and following us on FB. If you are seriously interested in adopting one of us in particular, please fill out an application by Friday so that we can be sure to be there. Otherwise we decide based on other variables. Usually we are in our foster homes so this is a bit more stressful and a slightly artificial environment but we do want to be seen and find our furever homes too. Please consider providing a home for more than one dog, especially if you are considering adopting a puppy. Dogs are pack animals and very much enjoy as well as need other dog company to learn to play, socialize and be good companion animals to people. The upside to this is that you won't feel as guilty leaving them alone and you get twice the love. Please come! And if you can't adopt, maybe you can foster or volunteer, and you can always donate! If you want to know about cats/dogs specifically being shown at our adoption locations, please email us cats@zanisfurryfriends.org closer to the date so we know your interest and will make every effort to have that pet at the event or let you know how and where you can meet. It is extemely helpful and speeds up adoption if the application is filled out prior to visiting us so please do that before coming to our weekend events. Our weekend locations are: Sundays usually and some Saturdays. Follow us on FB for latest updates. Usually we are in our foster homes so all this is a bit more stressful but we do want to be seen and find our furever homes. Please come! And if you can't adopt, maybe you can foster. And you can always donate:) Cats and Dogs are spayed/neutered, UTD w/ all age appropriate shots and microchipped. Cats are feline combo tested for FIV/FeLV; dogs are heartworm tested and rabies vax'd, (NOT lyme vaxed but we seriously recommend it); rabbits are spayed/neutered. Please fill out an application and email to: For Cats: cats@zanisfurryfriends.org For Dogs: dogs@zanisfurryfriends.org For Rabbits: nyc.acc.rabbits@gmail.com. Please visit our website zanisfurryfriends.org.

    Moqui

    verified

    rescue
    Breed: Mastiff
    Sex: Male Male
    Age: Adult
    Location: USA
Posted Breed: Mastiff (short coat). Moqui takes his name from the cave where he was found. He was picked up by local animal control and came to Best Friends when no one claimed him. He is an absolute love bug and the perfect mix between active and snuggly. Moqui is also a calm, loving boy who has been great with other dogs at the Sanctuary. He enjoys long walks and has great leash manners. Moqui is shy and fearful with strangers. He has shown some barrier reactivity and can be a little nervous with new people coming up to his fence or gate. However, he has done well with Dogtown volunteers after meeting them on a walk. He warms up very quickly and just wants love, attention and snuggles. Born in 2013, Moqui is currently being treated for heartworm disease. He is also working with his caregivers on getting comfortable with seeing people through a fence or gate. Overall, Moqui has been a well-behaved boy who wants nothing more than to snuggle with people and be loved on.

    Postre

    verified

    rescue
    Breed: Mastiff
    Sex: Male Male
    Age: Adult
    Location: USA
Posted Breed: Mastiff (medium coat). Postre has the sweetest soul. You can see it in his eyes. He also has an adorably squishy face. He's easygoing and doesn't complain about anything. Born in 2014, Postre is still learning lots of new things. He loves being praised and tries his hardest to do what he's asked even when he gets distracted. While he can be highly excitable on a leash, his caregivers are working with him on it. Postre's a little picky with his doggie friends and prefers females. He'd be happy in a home with the right doggie friend or as your only furry friend. Postre has a generous sponsor who will cover his adoption and transport costs.

    Breed: Mastiff
    Sex: Male Male
    Age: Adult
    Location: USA
Posted Breed: Mastiff (short coat). Pecos is a giant marshmallow who will follow you anywhere - as long as you don't look at him. He's so shy he'll run and hide if you watch him. Because he has a tendency to run away when he is scared, he will need to find someone who can keep him safe.
