    Breed: Brittany
    Sex: Male Male
    Age: Young
    Location: USA
Posted Breed: Brittany (medium coat). Slim Jim here, have you ever seen one adorable Brittany like me?! Of course not, I am one of a kind. I am 7 mths old, orange/white, neutered, healthy 29 lbs of pure male Brittany. UTD on all vaccines, HW neg and on prevention. I love my hoomans and I have lots of loving and cuddles to share. Let me tell you what I would love to have with my new family. Lots of sweet loving, kisses, snuggles on the couch with you and watch tv or tell me stories. Teach me tricks, but give me cookies when I do good, maybe drop one by accident that I can help pickup for you. I am a little clown and my foster folks say I am the greatest, but remember I am still that Brittany puppy that is curious and active. I need to get my exercise and have fun, but I do settle down nicely. History: I was born and spent my former life in a pen with a sibling. My former owner was a Hunter/Breeder. Although I was feed, watered and very occasionally handled. I never truly was given affection, just training. When my former owner decided I wasn't going to be a true hunter, he surrendered me to NBRAN, and my foster Dad and Mom brought me to their home and the Barky Bunch Ranch here in AR. At first, they thought I would never stop moving. Hey, here I have room to run and play. But I soon learned that I could go outside any time I wanted to or NEEDED to potty. I have learned not to rush in to greet all the siblings here. They just ignore me or let me know when to BACK OFF! We play and run the fence most of the day. I do need exercise. I don't guard my food, or chew bones, or toys. It's fun to share. I have learned when I'm inside that there are HOUSE RULES! I listen when told NO and stop (at least until I find another prize, like socks). Mom thinks I am very smart and easy to teach. I now sit for a treat, go in my cozy, soft blanketed crate for a treat or just because the Human says so. I fuss a little, but soon settle down and either take a nap or sleep through the night. As for house training, I am doing great. I tell the folks with body language when I can't wait any longer and I don't potty in my blankets or crate. I don't tear up my soft blankie, never had one before, so don't want to destroy my blankie. I no longer counter surf or beg at the table. I want to learn to be the BEST home companion ever. If you would love a Pal to run and play with and snuggle with, I'm your Man. My foster Mom will be glad to tell you more about me as I am in foster care. Medical Note: He did test positive for Ehrlichia, but did not have Ehrlichia. We treated for 30 days with doxy anyway and after treatment did bloodwork. Bloodwork was excellent and none shown in blood smear. Healthy. If you are interested in adopting me, please visit .NBRAN to complete an adoption application. Contact Nancy Walker at nwalkercapecod and/or Melinde Waddle at macgammygmail . for more information after you have filled out the application. The fee to adopt Slim Jim in Arkansas is $400 to offset his vetting and to allow NBRAN to rescue more of these wonderful pets in need. Transportation can be arranged up 1400 miles with the adopter being responsible for the last 100 miles.

    Breed: Brittany
    Sex: Male Male
    Age: Senior
    Location: USA
Posted Breed: Brittany (medium coat). Introducing rough and rowdy RUSTY!! This guy is a terrific senior at age 9 who acts like he’s going on 4. Rusty has spent his life as an outdoor kennel dog, owned by an avid hunter. Kennel dog days are over as he loves being with people and other dogs be that in the house, garage, car, yard, etc. Rusty is described by another avid hunter as “not as good a hunter as some but he really works hard at it.” Rusty came to NBRAN in November, due to the death of his owner, and has since been learning house training (with the help of the other Brittany’s and a dog door), basic commands are coming along, even figured out the basement stairs this week, etc. Rusty is a very active boy, LOVES to run and jump. In the field, he is so graceful, but in the house, he’s a bit clumsy. Rusty would be best suited to an active owner who enjoys the outdoors and has other dogs. Rusty is very social, tone trained for hunting on a collar and hunts at an approximate 100 yard radius (he thinks the rule applies in the back yard too). His new owner will need to train him for going outside as he currently has nearly full time access to a dog door and fenced yard, we learned a long time ago to never train a Brittany to bark for what they want or the barking will never end. Rusty does not jump fences but he loves to crawl under things and explore the unknown. The cat situation is still a work in progress. If you love Brittanys and their inquisitive, fun loving nature, you will love this guy! A couple of items relating to health: Rusty has a slightly elevated liver function but the vet is not overly concerned he just needs a quality diet at this time and has a broken canine tooth that will eventually need to be extracted. He has a significant overbite but it doesn’t seem to affect him. If you are interested in this rough around the edges boy, please fill out an application online at nbran/adopt/adoption-application. Once your application is received, the coordinator in the state in which you live will be in touch to follow-up regarding your interest in Rusty. Need to reach your State Coordinator? Find the contact information here: http//nbran/about/state-provincial-coordinators . Rusty's adoption fee is $200.00, which will help NBRAN cover the vetting costs and other expenses associated with Bringing a Brit like Rusty back to good health and readying them for adoption. Don't live in OH or close by? No Problem! NBRAN has a wonderful transport team who will help bring Rusty to his new family, up to 1400 miles with the adoptive family being responsible for the last 100 miles, at no additional cost. Still have questions? Contact Vivian Stevenson at grtpyrlovergmail . Thank you!

Posted Breed: Brittany (medium coat). Hello everyone – my name is Hunter and I am an 8 year old American Brittany. My family had to move and could not take me and my sister, Lexi. We need to stay together and we are so good! The nice people at NBRAN took us into rescue so me and Lexi could find a happy forever home. So here I am in Sherman Oaks with the nice people at NBRAN hanging out while we wait to find our forever family. I like be in whatever room my foster mom is in and I have no sense of what my foster mom calls "personal space." I don't understand that - I like to lay on top of her if she's on the couch or on a bed. I just like to keep her warm, so I don't really get this concept of personal space. If you are looking for a super affectionate companion and you're chilly on those long winter nights, then I'm your guy and my sister, Lexi, is your gal. We are really good and take such good care of our foster mom and each other. So, the bad news is that I do pull on the leash so I'm working on that. I'm a super quick learner, though. We are working on it - I'm just such a happy guy and I get excited when out walking. My sister is so good, she doesn't pull on the leash at all. We will need to go to an experienced Brittany family who know what we're all about. Don't let my age fool you - in Brittany years, 8 is really 2! Don't let my name fool you, I am not a hunter and in fact, am afraid of gun shots and fireworks, so if you are looking for a hunting companion, I am probably not for you. On Independence Day, I will need to be kept inside with the windows closed as fireworks make me very nervous. Me and Lexi know basic commands and we love to RUN! I will need someone to walk me so I can take off some weight or I need a really big yard so I can run and run and chase all the birds and bunnies. I am housebroken, love other dogs and I love love love to be petted! I also really love my sister. My adoption fee is $200 and I am neutered, up to date on shots and microchipped. So call Patti or email nationalbrittanyrescuegmail 310.994.1062 and let’s chat. If you are interested in adding Lexi and Hunter to your family, please complete an online application at .nbran (under the Adopt tab). Once the application has been completed, you will be contacted by your state coordinator. A telephone interview, home visit, and vet check will be required as part of the approval process. Lexi and Hunter are eligible for our wonderful Senior-to-Senior program. If you are a senior, age 60 or over, each adoption fee will be reduced to $100 ($100 for Lexi and $100 for Hunter). If you are not in Southern California, we have an amazing group of volunteer drivers and pilots who will bring Lexi and Hunter to you in the western states only. Please chat with Patti or your state coordinator for details. We do try to minimize the journey for our beloved brittanys because the transports can be stressful. Thank you for ready my bio and I hope we can meet! Oh, and one more thing - NBRAN really needs foster homes right now. If you can just open your heart and home for a little while, it will make a world of difference for these amazing Brittanys.

Posted Breed: Brittany (medium coat). Hello everyone – my name is Lexi and I am an 8 year old American Brittany. My family had to move and could not take me and my brother, Hunter. We need to stay together and we are so good! The nice people at NBRAN took us into rescue so me and Hunter could find a happy forever home. So here I am in Sherman Oaks with the nice people at NBRAN hanging out while we wait to find our forever family. I like to follow my foster mom all over the house. My brother pulls on the leash so we're working on training. We both know basic commands and we love to RUN and play! I love to take walks and I want a really big yard so I can run and run and chase all the birds and bunnies. I am housebroken, love other dogs and I love love love to be petted! I also really love my brother. I whine if we are separated so we just do everything together. I am very affectionate and really want to be with my foster mom all the time. If you're looking for a sweet love bug, that would be me. I will pay you back with so much love, you will never be lonely or alone...not even when you go to the bathroom. I am what foster mom calls "Velcro" and Hunter is pretty much the same. She says that's fine for a maltese or papillon, but we're kind of on the larger side, so that makes it a challenge. We love to snuggle and will do anything just to be next to you and I am an especially proficient foot warmer - so if you're looking for affection, love and adoration - you should meet us! Posted Breed: Brittany (medium coat). Hi All, my name is Chance and as you can see I’m a very handsome Liver & White Britt boy, in search of his FORVER Home. I just turned 2 this past summer and love to play, run and chase those pesky critters in the yard, so a forever home with a nice sized yard with a secure and tall privacy fence is best for me, as I have been known to climb and jump over low chain link to get those pesky critters. I also enjoy playing with my foster brothers and sisters, so it sure would be nice to have 1 or 2 in my new home to hang out with, who also enjoy chasing chase critters too, but cats are probably not a good idea. When I’m not playing or chasing critters I LOVE to cuddle and lay on my foster Mom’s lap, which always makes her smile. I am house and crate trained neutered, heartworm negative and up to date on shots and microchip. I do ok on leash and foster Mom has also been working on basic manners and training along with routines, which are very important for a young guy like me. Foster Mom thinks that with the right training I just might become a good hunting Britt one day, so if you are looking for a couch potato or just a furry guy that will hang out by your feet and want to go for the occasion walk or two, then I’m not the Britt for you. If you are looking for a running partner or possible hunting dog them I’m your guy! So now there is only one thing still missing. A place to call my own FOREVER! Could that place be your Home?? If so, please consider filling out an application online at: nbran/adopt/adoption-application. Once your application is received, the coordinator in the state in which you live will be in touch to follow-up regarding your interest in Chance. Need to reach your State Coordinator? Find their contact information here: nbran/about/state-provincial-coordinators. Chance’s adoption fee is 375.00, which will help NBRAN cover the vetting costs and other expenses associated with bringing a Brit like Chance back to good health and readying them for adoption. Don't live in PA or close by? No Problem! NBRAN has a wonderful transport team who will help bring Chance to his new family, up to 1400 miles with the adoptive family being responsible for the last 100 miles, at no additional fee. Posted Breed: Brittany (medium coat). My name is Peanut, and I believe I got that name when I was a wee puppy. I am a big Peanut now and have been a Daddy many times in a backyard. I lucked out when NBRAN rescued me, along with my 4 pups and their mom. My Foster Mom is always giggling at me. videoing me while I sleep and snore. So embarrassing when you are this Big Daddy. I love my toys and have enjoyed the good life now. I am looking for a family that will continue to spoil me and make me your special boy. I have learned it is ok to sit with you on the couch or sleep belly up in a chair with my toy. I am a very good boy in the house and my Foster Mom and Dad are very happy with me. I am an 8 yr old neutered orange/white 60-pound purebred male Brittany. UTD on shots, on HW prevention and healthy. I will go in a crate but would prefer not to. I do not want to share a house with a cat, they have claws that can hurt you and I think it would just be safer for us both. If you have toys, want an adorable companion and want to giggle, I am your boy. From Foster Mom: He is like a kid who loves toys, most recently a Kong, he throws it up in the air and chases it around. He likes to spend most of his time inside not outside unless he is going for a walk on an adventure or a car ride. He has a lot of energy and needs to be exercised daily (A must). He will also let you know when he is bored. He is housebroken and sleeps all night. He really loves men, he follows his Foster Dad around every day and every minute. He likes other dogs and he does not like cats. He is a messy drinker and he now has a buddy bowl If you are interested in adopting me, please visit .NBRAN to complete an adoption application. Contact Nancy Walker at nwalkercapecod and/or Melinde Waddle at macgammygmail . for more information after you have filled out the application. The fee to adopt Peanut in Houston, TX is $200 to offset his vetting and to allow NBRAN to rescue more of these wonderful pets. Transportation can be arranged up 1400 miles with the adopter being responsible for the last 100 miles. Medical Note: Peanut had Ehrlichia and his blood count was off. He has been on treatment and his bloodwork is perfect now and he is healthy to be adopted.

Posted Breed: Brittany (medium coat). Hello everyone – My name is Annie and I am a 10 year old American Brittany. My story is very sad-- my dad developed cancer and is in hospice care. He could no longer care for me and my sister Bug so NBRAN took us into rescue. Bug and I are very bonded and will only be adopted together. Everyone says we are just the sweetest pair of pups you could ever hope to meet. Bug is in a couple of pictures with me. Unlike my sister Bug - who loves to hunt with her brothers in the backyard - I prefer to relax on the couch so I don't ruin the stylish hairdo I have. My next favorite thing is following my foster mom around the house. I love my walks once I get outside but I need to be encouraged to take them - something I need to do since I need to lose a little weight. Bug and I walk with our foster mom everyday and I'm finally seeing the results so I guess those walks are really good for me. I am hearing impaired but know hand signals. I love my kennel and even sleep in it during the day (my mom leaves the door open for me). I know basic commands, am housebroken, love other dogs and I love love love to be petted! I also really love my sister. My adoption fee is $200 and I am spayed, up to date on shots and microchipped. So call Patti or email nationalbrittanyrescuegmail 310.994.1062 and let’s chat.

Posted Breed: Brittany (medium coat). Hi Folks, my name is Chief and I am a sweet, and quirky 5 year old Brit boy who came into NBRAN when my former owner just didn’t have the time for me anymore. My life before NBRAN wasn’t too bad except that I lived mostly kenneled outside, so it’s taken me a little bit of time to adjust but Boy Oh Boy, life here in my foster home in NW PA has been great. I love hanging out with my furry foster brother and playing ball with my foster Mom. I also like to check out all the pesky critters in the yard and use my nose. My foster Mom says I maybe an older guy but I act like a puppy most of time, but I just like to have fun. I did had another doggy playmate for while, a girl, but she moved on to her new home, which my foster Mom says I will have soon too. I walk well on leash but my Foster Dad says I still need to learn not pull so hard, especially when the black and white “cats” are out or if I see those pesky rabbits. so foster Dad suggests a home without a critter he calls cats is probably best. Running and playing in the yard is one of the things I enjoy most, so I would really like a new home with a physically fenced yard and a doggy playmate or two, as I really don’t like being home alone. I can be a little shy around new people, especially men, as my Foster Mom is my favorite person of all, I do like people I just have not been around too many until I can here to NBRAN. Loud noises also bother me, (thunder, fireworks, or young children), but my Foster Mom just gives me extra hugs and lets me know it will be ok. I take care of my business outside and I have also been crate trained, but have not needed a crate in a while, as I’m fully trustworthy inside the house. All of my other vetting is up to date also and I even had my teeth clean up, as I had a couple that were really were bothering me. I’m heartworm free, neutered and micro-chipped and just missing a place to call my mine forever. Could that be your home? If so, please consider filling out an application online at: .nbran/adoptappl.asp. Once your application is received, the coordinator in the state in which you live will be in touch to follow-up regarding your interest in Chief. Need to reach your State Coordinator? Find their contact information here: nbran/about/state-provincial-coordinators. Chief’s adoption fee is 350.00 which will help NBRAN cover the vetting costs and other expenses associated with bringing Brit like Chief back to good health and readying them for adoption. Don't live in PA or close by, No Problem! NBRAN also has a wonderful transport team who will help bring Chief to his new family, up to 1400 miles with the adoptive family being responsible for the last 100 miles, at no additional fee. Contact Chris Eddinger for information or questions about Chief at ceddingerverizon Thank you!
