    CODY IV

    Breed: English Setter
    Sex: Male Male
    Age: Senior
    Location: USA
Posted Breed: English Setter (medium coat). Cody, a/k/a/ The Codemeister or Code Green, is a happy, energetic guy who does not look or act his 11 years of age. When he first arrived, he was marking often and chewing everything in sight. Less than 2 weeks later, and after being neutered, he has stopped marking and is almost completely house trained. He has had a couple accidents in the house, but this happens because he is so distracted outside by the breezes, deer, turkeys, etc. that he can’t focus on his business. There are just so many new things to watch and smell – can you blame the poor guy? Cody’s chewing has decreased over the last week however he still needs to be closely monitored. He is especially fond of paper/cardboard items and wires. The Codemeister has shown more interest in his toys lately so I am hoping this will reduce the other chewing behaviors. This handsome guy has thick, soft fur and big beautiful eyes. He loves to stand as close as possible to his humans whether inside or outdoors. He displayed an aggressive manner towards other dogs on two separate occasions since he has been with me. Those were the only two times he has crossed paths with other dogs while in my care. He has been around men, women and children and seems calm and affectionate with every human he meets. He is a very sweet guy who is ready to enjoy his retirement years with a family who will adore him. Cody would probably do best in a home without other pets where he either has a fenced yard or the opportunity to take some long walks. He's great on a leash!

    AURA

    rescue
    Breed: Pointer-Unknown Mix
    Sex: Female Female
    Age: Young
    Location: USA
Posted Breed: Pointer / Mixed (short coat). Aura is a petite 2 year old girl who was saved from the streets of Turkey. It is believed that this beautiful girl once had a home before being thrown out on the streets. While out there, she was attacked by other dogs and had to fend for herself. Thankfully, Turkish rescuers were able to get her to safety until she was able to get her flight to New York. She is now looking for her very own home. Aura is afraid of new dogs and will bark and growl at them to let them know to leave her alone. Although she now lives with several dogs, it took a few weeks for her to be comfortable with them. Aura will either need a home with no other dogs, or a family willing to be patient while she gets to know the dogs already in the house. Aura is not good with cats. Aura is a bubbly, loving and very sweet girl. She is very smart and a quick learner. If you are looking for a dog to take to the dog park and other places where there are dogs, Aura is NOT the girl for you. However if you want a sweet, loving pet that gives kisses and loves attention, Aura is that girl!!

    Breed: English Setter
    Sex: Male Male
    Age: Young
    Location: USA
Posted Breed: English Setter. Gender: Male (Neutered) Age: 1.5 years Size/Weight: 46 Pounds Breed: English Setter Good with Children: Yes Good with Dogs: Yes Good with Cats: Unknown. Our veterinarian has multiple cats walking around the office and he normally just stares at them…although he’s never been off the leash around them! House trained: Yes. Crate trained: Yes. He goes into the crate on command. Sleeping: Scout sleeps in his crate at night, but sometimes he whines because he really likes sleeping in a comfortable bed with his owners. Leash trained: Yes. He does pull sometimes when he’s excited, but does very well on a leash. Activity Level: Scout loves to play with his ball in the yard and run at the dog park. We currently have a 4 foot fence, but I think it would be better if he had a 6 foot fence or Invisible Fence. Apparently, his previous owner trained him with an invisible fence. He loves hanging out outside watching the birds and rabbits and will try to catch them Medical History: Neutered and currently on heart worm preventative and is up-to-date on all vaccines. Scout is an amazing dog who needs to have a stay at home person in his life. He is very loving and would prefer to be by your side all day. If you sit down, he’s asleep with his head on your lap. If you stand up, he’s walking with you. He is very well behaved and doesn’t seem to want to chew on things….not even bones or treats. He’s just interested in playing and cuddling. He hasn’t tried to bolt out a door yet, but we’ve been making sure he’s back when we open a door. He does seem a little skittish when meeting someone for the first time, but it doesn’t take him long to become friends. Scout doesn’t travel very well. He immediately lays down in the car, but seems nervous and turns into a drool machine until the ride comes to an end. Might be best if he didn’t have to travel too far when adopted.
