    Breed: Mutt
    Sex: Female Female
    Age: Adult
    Location: USA
Distance: Aprox. 29.3 mi from Central
Posted Breed: Chinese Crested-Hairless. Judith is a sweet and spunky girl. She takes a little time to warm up to new people and new dogs in her household but after a short time she is ready to snuggle. She does not like the crate, but prefers to cuddle up next to her person or burrough deep down under the covers at bedtime. She fancies herself a fierce watchdog when she encounters strangers on a walk, but quiets down when shes told to. Judith will be happy in a home that offers lots of petting, plenty of back rubs and massages - she soaks up all the attention and she is pretty much a velcro dog. We have been working on leash walks and outdoor bathroom trips and Judith is coming along real well with that. She is intelligent and capable of learning new commands or habits. She needs a home without small children as she requires patience with transitions, and new surroundings. Judith does not like to be left alone by her person for long periods. She would appreciate having at least one other loving dog in the home to keep her company. She will make someone a wonderful, affectionate and loyal pet. Judith is a hairless Chinese Crested dog, being fostered in Knoxville, TN. She is approximately 5 years old and weighs 11.5 pounds. She is spayed, chipped, and up to date on all her shots.

Posted Breed: Chinese Crested-Hairless / Mixed. Jimmy Dean is a 3-4 yr-old Chinese Crested boy with a sweet personality. This little (although a bit plump) sweetheart is looking for someone to give him some TLC! Jimmy Dean is happiest when he can snuggle into your lap or nestle his face into your neck. He gets along well with other dogs but it is people where he finds his comfort. He would be fine as an only dog, or with older, more mellow dogs. He is not overly needy or barky. He will follow you around, bring you a toy to play fetch. JD does not need a fenced in yard, and is happy to go on short walks to do his business. If kept on schedule, he is house trained. He will use a peepad if they are left down. We're looking for the right fit for Jimmy Dean, and we think he would do best in a quiet home without young children. He has slight skin allergies that a veternarian should be able to control. He really needs someone to love him, take care of him and be his friend. He would love nothing more than to return the favor! JD has been on a weight loss regimen in foster care, and we expect any adopter to continue working on getting him down to a healthier weight, about 12-13 pounds. He is up to date on his shots, neutered, chipped, and ready for his forever home. He's being fostered in NJ, west of NYC. Please feel free to email his foster mom with any questions: Pauline13mac

Posted Breed: Chinese Crested-Hairless (short coat). Victor is a four-year old hairless Chinese Crested mix, weighing in at about 13-14 pounds. He's a happy, loving, snuggly dog that is looking for his forever home. Victor likes cuddling his person most of all, and would really love a stay-at-home parent. He is very food motivated and will respond well to training with treats and a strong pack leader. He'd do fine in a home with or without other pets. There's a senior cat in the home and he's fine with her. Vic does bark at bigger dogs, so he might be best with other small dogs or very calm bigger dogs with patience to get to know him. He's been around kids as young as 5 and is fine with them. He is showing a little interest in toys, and is familiar with walking on a leash and a harness. He's not a huge fan of clothes but will wear them. We expect he'll enjoy being naked once the weather warms up. Victor is being fostered in Greenville, SC. Any applicant should live within driving distance to pick him up, however far that is for you. Applications are welcome!

Posted Breed: Chinese Crested-Powder Puff (medium coat). A-59 A very special dog looking for a very special home. Let's give a gentle hello to this sweet and timid boy Albie. Albie is one of the Texas-13 and his first 8 years he had little or no contact with humans, so he is leery of humans. Albie has no aggression, and he prefers his solitary life outside or in his crate. Albie is a watcher from afar. His foster mom is working on socializing him. Albie has come a long way from his first days in foster care. His progress is very encouraging, and will continue in his forever home with patience and routine. 1. Albie was a little wild and needed a harness and 6 foot leash so he could be caught and brought in to the house. Today Albie's crate is open and he has free range to the house and dog door. Albie is housebroken going in the yard. Albie does not like leash walking so a fenced in yard is needed for this little man. 2. Albie eats well we have gone from feeding him outside, then inside the dog door to family room. Today Albie is prefers eating in his crate away from the other dogs. Any noise and Albie runs for his crate, but he is getting better at this. 3. Albie does not know any commands. This is a challenge since he will only takes treats in his crate. You must place the treat down then walk away and he will eat it. 4. Albie will come out of his crate for Albie time. His foster mom started getting him out of his crate for snuggle time, brushing and general human time. Albie resisted at first but now he will come out of his crate on his own to be picked up for couch time. Albie has been taken to bed to sleep with his foster mom and other dogs and he is sleeping all night in the bed. If you are interested in adopting he is a work in progress. He is learning that having a family is a good thing. But you must earn his trust. Albie is being fostered in Wilmington, DE. He's up-to-date on all his shots, he's neutered, and microchipped. He's ready for his happily ever after. Applications are welcome, but please remember he is a work in progress.

Distance: Aprox. 29.3 mi from Central
Posted Breed: Xoloitzcuintle/Mexican Hairless. Tarzan is a great dude! He's a 5 yr old, gorgeous, intermediate Xolo, weighing approximately 17 pounds and full of loyalty, love, and doofus-ness. We are so proud of what a great dog he's become in foster care, and now it's his forever home's turn to take him the rest of the way to his future! Tarzan is active and loves toys! "Hoards toys" is a better way of putting things. But he's happy to fetch with you, or pile them up all on his own. He also enjoys running and playing in the yard, as well as major bootie scratches. He is happy for you to dress him up in clothes or silly costumes, as long as he gets to be with you. He'll walk right by your side on a leash around the neighborhood. He loves his person with his whole heart, and is happy to cuddle up on the couch and just be with you, or curl up in a dog bed out of the way. He comes when called. Truly, a lovely companion dog. Tarzan does suffer from severe dry-eye, which requires daily drops and lubrication. In some of his pictures, you will see the goop that shows up in his left eye, which is easily wiped off a few times a day. He's a good sport about it, but it is a chronic condition that must be treated every single day. He is also on phenobarbytol and has not had any seizures since starting this medication. Tarzan would love a home with a fenced in yard, but it's not necessary as long as he has owners who are dedicated to giving him plenty of chances to walk outside. He enjoys walks and has learned to do his business while on a leash. His potty manners have been good in his foster home as long as he is taken out frequently and you pay attention to his routine. He would be fine as an only dog, but he gets along fine with other dogs in the home, as he's very submissive and goes with the flow. He can get into things when home alone, and so it's best if he's crated when you leave the house. He likes his crate just fine. He is being fostered with cats and although initially it didn't go so well, that has settled down. One cat is dog-savvy and not intimidated, and he just ignores. The other cat runs away, and that one, he barks at and chases. He's being fostered in Greenville, SC. Any adopter should live within driving distance, however far that is for you. He is neutered, chipped, and up-to-date on all his shots. Applications and inquiries are welcome (email baldisbeautifuldogrescuegmail).

    Harry Potter...

Distance: Aprox. 29.3 mi from Central
Posted Breed: Chinese Crested-Hairless (short coat). Harry Potter is a very special senior Chinese Crested. He is at least 10 years old, could be a few years more, and a true hairless. He came to us with a history of neglect, but a strong will to fight back, and is doing great now! After a healthy diet and exercise to gain muscle strength, Harry's now weighing in at just over 10 pounds and is looking great. Harry has some typical Chinese Crested quirks. He loves to rub all over you, and makes funny chattering noises when he's happy. He loves to stand up and dance for treats. Will pretty much do anything for a treat! Harry will do best in a home that has a laid-back energy, and would like at least one other dog for company when his people are gone, or stay-at-home people. He has begun to show just a little interest in toys, but mostly just wants to snuggle and occasionally watch out the window. He enjoys going on walks, and is happy to make friends (people and dogs alike) when out and about. Harry would be a great errand-running buddy. He does not need a fenced in yard, and he's fine with cats. Easy peasy! After his magical, miraculous recovery, Harry Potter now has a clean bill of health, has been vaccinated, chipped, and is neutered. Harry does have a grade 4 (out of six) heart murmur and some old man lipoma. His only other "challenge" is that he needs to wear a belly band inside the house, which will be provided along with his significant wardrobe upon adoption! (He's a size small.) To us, given all he has overcome, that's a pretty small thing. He deserves a GREAT home to make his future bright and filled with security and love. Harry Potter is being fostered in Greenville, SC. He's small enough to fly in cabin, if someone wants to fly to pick him up; or, be close enough to drive from where you live. Questions and applications are welcome!

Posted Breed: American Hairless Terrier (short coat). Roscoe B. DeMille has 2 requests of his new owner: MUST HAVE TOYS AND LOVE WALKS! He is a 9 year old American Hairless Terrier but despite his senior status he is a bundle of energy! He loves to chew, play ball and walks are a must. One of the great things about foster care is that we really get to know a dog and what he needs in a forever home to give him a great chance of success. Roscoe has been working with a trainer and his foster mom to help him start his path, and he's looking for a dedicated adopter to take him the rest of his way to his true potential. Roscoe is a barker so an apartment would not be a good place. He adores walks and is well-mannered on a leash, so a fence is not a necessity. Roscoe thrives with a daily routine and plenty of attention. He is not fond of new things or strangers so his household cannot have children. We are working with him to be less fearful in accepting new things, but this is and will be a work in progress. A new owner should be familiar with the energy of the terrier breeds and be willing to seek the assitance of a trainer. He is neutral with other dogs, usually ignoring them unless they get in his space, so no young puppies are welcomed by him. He does not engage in play with other dogs but loves his games of fetch with his human. He is truly all about his person and his toys. If interested, please contact us with questions as there are many things about Roscoe that we would need to share before selecting the right home.

Posted Breed: Carolina Dog / Mixed (short coat). Blitzen was rescued from the side of the road on Christmas Eve 2018. After a lengthy capture (he wanted us to mention that for his street cred). We are estimating a year old and a Carolina dog mix. This is what Blitzen's foster family says about him, " Blitzen is a sweet boy. He LOVES to play with other dogs. He's great with kids. He has started to chase my cats, but not to hurt them, he stops when told no. He has a lot of energy, but at the same time he loves to crash in your lap and cuddle on the couch. He is working on being fully housebroken. He is crate trained and will even go to his crate immediately when told. He will whine or stand by the back door when he needs to potty. He understands the word "potty" and immediately goes to the back door. He will also jump in the car when you say "want to go for a ride?" He does chew, but mainly little pieces of stuff my kids leave around. He's never chewed shoes or furniture. If he could have chew toys without my dogs stealing them, I believe he wouldn't chew anything else. He is so eager to please and such a happy boy. He will be great for an active family or someone with other young dogs to play with. His love to learn and please is amazing!" ADOPT BLITZEN!!!!! .LuckyPupRescueSC The adoption fee is $250. We require a vet check and home visit. We adopt to most states. Blitzen is current on vaccines, neutered, micro-chipped and he has been dewormed and on heartworm preventative and flea and tick preventative.
