Zoey is a Chow Chow English Mastiff Mix Dog for private adoption by owner in Macomb Michigan. Zoey has a lovely personality. 5 years old and weighing 85 pounds, Zoey is very healthy, fixed, up to date on shots, house trained and well behaved. 1.) She is easy to own, low maintenance 2.) She has those eyes that just melt your heart 3.) She is very sensitive to human emotion and just has a 6th sense when something isn’t right 4.) She is highly expressive and wears her mood on her sleeve, if you will 5.) She is super human submissive and listens without question to human commands Zoey is looking for a very loving home with owners who have lots of time for her. She would do best as an only dog in a home with a securely fenced yard. She has so much love to offer, and her size makes you feel very safe and protected. She loves walks, playing with chew toys and sleeping near the fireplace. Why is Zoey Being Rehomed? It is heartbreaking on a couple fronts, but since my lab has been diagnosed with Cancer, the stress on Zoey has caused her to become very distant, depressed, and more defensive than normal when it comes to things like food. She is used to being fed away from other dogs and any new owner should continue that practice. A home without other dogs may just offer Zoey the best life. She has so much love to give and we would love to have a family looking for a rescue ( I got her from the Michigan Humane Society as a puppy) who have a huge heart to receive all she has to offer. She is so easy to manage in the event the family gets busy and really is more like a cat than a dog. We would love nothing more than for her to be in a family where she can be the center of attention. There is a $150 adoption/rehoming fee. Supplies and veterinary records included. Questions about Zoey? Contact our Detroit dog rehoming team today. Text “Zoey” to (888) 833-2128 or email ZoeyDog-lover.us. We look forward to hearing from you.

Please visit .caninelifeline/adoption-process/ for more information about our adoption process and to submit an online application. PIPPA HAS AN ADOPTION PENDING. Pippa is a lovely 6 year-old Lab/Chow mix female who came into a rural county dog shelter as a stray and from there, made the trip to Canine Lifeline so she could take her time finding the perfect new home. The shelter volunteers were especially fond of this kind and gentle dog so wanted to make sure that she had a chance at finding a great new home. Everything that they said about her was spot on. She’s been a dream dog in her foster home—excellent crate manners, housetrained, great on a leash, and good with the majority of other dogs she meets. Pippa has been very quiet and well-mannered since coming to us and is the type of dog who’s likely to walk into her new house and make herself right at home. She was adopted from us recently but returned after several weeks as she wasn’t a fan of the small dog in her new home. She's the only dog in her current foster home and is fine with that. She doesn't even need to be crated and can be left alone while her foster mom is at work with no problems. If you're looking for an instant companion who will need minimal training, that's our Pippa! Pippa doesn't seem to be a fan of cats so will need a kitty-free home. She weighs about 55 pounds and her adoption fee is $250. She’s spayed, heartworm negative and on monthly preventative, up to date on vaccinations including bivalent canine influenza, wormed, on flea preventative, and microchipped. Pippa had a recent dental cleaning and now flashes a beautiful white smile. All Canine Lifeline adoptions come with a two-week adjustment period to make sure it’s a great match before the adoption is finalized. Please email infocaninelifeline if you’re interested in Pippa. An approved application is required before we schedule meets with any of our dogs. We have no foster homes with young children so aren’t comfortable placing any of them in a home with children less than 7 years of age. We try to respond to inquiries within 72 hours so if you haven’t heard from us within that time frame, please check your junkmail or spam folder to make sure our reply hasn’t landed in there. Please visit our website at .caninelifeline to see more photos of Pippa and to submit an online application.

Please visit .caninelifeline/adoption-process/ for more information about our adoption process and to submit an online application. JEAN HAS AN ADOPTION PENDING. If you love Beagle smiles, you’re going to love Jean! She’s a sweet and loving 7 year-old Beagle girl with a winning smile and a great attitude. In spite of finding herself homeless at an overcrowded county dog shelter at an age when she should be enjoying a cozy bed at home, Jean has never let that get her down. From the shelter, she made the trip to Canine Lifeline so she could enjoy life in a foster home while she searched for her permanent new home. She’s very kind and gentle with people and has gotten along great with her fellow foster dogs but does prefer her canine companions to be on the mellow side. Jean does well in her crate so should pick up the housetraining rules quickly in her new home. She would love a home where she could take a nice stroll around the block every day and then get cozy on the couch for some snuggling. She weighs about 23 pounds and her adoption fee is $150. She’s spayed, heartworm negative and on monthly preventative, up to date on vaccinations including bivalent canine influenza, wormed, on flea and tick preventative, and microchipped. As part of the adoption process, all adopters must commit to a two-week adjustment period to make sure it’s a great match before the adoption is finalized. This very handsome 2 year-old Beagle mix is Vinny. He came to us as a stray from an overcrowded rural county dog shelter so we have no history on his previous life. He was shy and timid at the shelter so made the trip to Canine Lifeline so he could relax in a foster home while searching for his permanent new home. Vinny has been the perfect gentleman in his foster home. He enjoys playing with his fellow foster dogs, has excellent crate manners, and may be housetrained too although we can’t guarantee it. He’s still quite a shy boy but warms up quickly once he knows someone wants to be his friend. Once he knows you, you’ve got a friend for life! Vinny is working on his leash manners as it seems that it something new for him. He’s starting to get the hang of it and realizing that going for a walk is a really fun thing to do. Vinny weighs about 30 pounds and his adoption fee is $250. Please visit .caninelifeline/adoption-process/ for more information about our adoption process and to submit an online application. SUGAR HAS AN ADOPTION PENDING. Both small and large dog fans are going to love Sugar! Although this 9 month-old only weighs about 20 pounds, she’s got the spunk and stamina to keep up with dogs much larger than she is. We think she might be a mix of Beagle and Jack Russell Terrier but that’s just our best guess. This little lady LOVED having her picture taken and enjoyed all of the attention, treats, and squeaky toys that came with the experience. Sugar was shelter-bound prior to coming to Canine Lifeline as she was living with someone who could no longer care for her. She certainly isn’t letting the fact that she’s homeless dampen her spirits. Sugar is loving life in her foster home where she has plenty of toys and fellow foster dogs to pal around with. She has done very well with crate-training (no accidents!) in her foster home and with continued patient and consistent training in her new home, should also pick up the housetraining routine with ease. Sugar is still learning what walking on a leash is all about but soon will be walking like a pro. Sugar weighs about 20 pounds and her adoption fee is $250. She’s spayed, heartworm negative and on monthly preventative, up to date on vaccinations including bivalent canine influenza, wormed, on flea preventative, and microchipped. Please visit .caninelifeline/adoption-process/ for more information about our adoption process and to submit an online application. QUEENIE HAS AN ADOPTION PENDING. Looking for an outstanding puppy? That’s our Queenie, a 4-5 month-old Chocolate Lab mix female who has impressed us from the moment we met her. This sweet girl was an owner surrender at an overcrowded county dog shelter. We don’t know what circumstances led to her family no longer being able to keep her but she definitely had some training with them as she knows to sit for a treat and has excellent crate manners. As long as she gets to go outside every 4-5 hours during the day, she does great with housetraining and keeps her crate clean as well. Queenie is a typical puppy in terms of her playfulness and enthusiasm for toys and wrestling with other dogs. We would love to see her adopted into a home with another dog to keep her company and to continue to show her the ropes. She trots along nicely on a leash for a youngster and is going to make a great walking, jogging, or hiking buddy as she matures. Queenie met the resident kitties at the vet clinic and tried to engage them in play so should be able to live happily with cats. This girl has so much poise and composure for a puppy---she was an absolute dream to photograph. Queenie weighs about 25 pounds currently and we expect she’ll be about 50-60 pounds once full-grown. Her adoption fee is $350. She’s spayed, current on monthly heartworm preventative, up to date on vaccinations including bivalent canine influenza, wormed, on flea and tick preventative, and microchipped. As part of the adoption process, all adopters must commit to a two-week adjustment period to make sure it’s a great match before the adoption is finalized. Freya is a horse-friendly 2 year-old Heinz-57, best of everything all-American mutt who would love to meet you. She was an unclaimed stray who came to us from a county dog shelter so we don’t have any history on her breed mix but we suspect you might find some Border Collie, Cattledog, or Jack Russell Terrier in her family tree. Freya truly has it all—great looks and a fabulous disposition. She was in a foster home prior to making the trip to Canine Lifeline. In that home, she lived with other dogs and horses too and was friendly to everyone. She’s a spunky little dog who loves to play with both other dogs and people and has never met a stranger. She forms strong attachments quickly to her humans and will be extremely devoted to whomever gives her the chance at a great new life. Freya keeps her crate spotless so is likely to pick up the house rules quickly in her new home. She will need a little work on her manners as she does like to jump up on people for attention but she’s eager to please and seems to be a quick learner. Freya weighs about 22 pounds and her adoption fee is $250. This adorable 8 month-old All American mutt is as sweet and kind as can be. She likely has many different breeds in her family tree but she’s about the size of a long-legged Beagle and has a very pretty black and tan coat so your guess is as good as ours! Dolly found herself homeless at a rural county dog shelter and made the trip to Canine Lifeline so she would be able to relax in a foster home while searching for her permanent new home. We don’t have any history on this pup’s previous life but she has been very well-behaved in her foster home and seems much more mature than her estimated 8 months of age. Dolly gets along well with other dogs but seems to prefer her canine companions on the quiet side. That may change as she gets more comfortable and lets her inner puppy emerge. She keeps her crate spotless so should be able to pick up the house rules readily in her new home. Dolly is a very quiet girl who has yet to bark in her foster home. She’s going to make a great buddy for someone who can give her the time she needs to feel comfortable in her new home. Dolly weighs about 26 pounds and her adoption fee is $250. She’s spayed, heartworm negative and on monthly preventative, up to date on vaccinations including bivalent canine influenza, wormed, on flea and tick preventative, and microchipped. Please visit .caninelifeline/adoption-process/ for more information about our adoption process and to submit an online application. DIZZY HAS AN ADOPTION PENDING. Dizzy is a lively 6 year-old Shih Tzu/Poodle mix male whose photos were taken before he visited the groomer so he looks more like a little dust mop than a dog. This little guy was turned into an overcrowded county dog shelter by his owner who could no longer keep him. We don’t know why Dizzy lost his home but he certainly didn’t receive the best care from his previous owner as he arrived at the shelter very underweight and in obvious need of a grooming. Dizzy is a very active little guy who had a hard time holding still long enough to get his photos taken! He wanted to be running around and exploring. Dizzy does well with other dogs so might enjoy having a home with another canine pal or two. He has been working on crate-training in his foster home and doing well with that. Dizzy may be housetrained too but we can’t guarantee it. His adopter should be prepared to work with him on adjusting to the house rules in his new home. Dizzy can be quite vocal when he wants something so he wouldn’t do well left alone in an apartment or condo setting where neighbors could be disturbed. He met the resident kitties at the vet clinic and showed no interest in them so may be fine living in a home with cats. He’s a very affectionate little guy who’s hoping for a new family who’ll be able to spend lots of time with him and ensure that he lives the life of a pampered pup. Dizzy currently weighs about 8 pounds but needs to gain a few more to be at his ideal weight. His adoption fee is $250. He’s neutered, heartworm negative and on monthly preventative, up to date on vaccinations including bivalent canine influenza, wormed, on flea and tick preventative, and microchipped. Mila was found as a stray and when she wasn’t claimed, she made the trip to Canine Lifeline so she would be able to relax in a foster home while she searches for a permanent new home. Mila was a little camera shy but she’s very friendly and sociable when she meets new people.
