Zoey is a Chow Chow English Mastiff Mix Dog for private adoption by owner in Macomb Michigan. Zoey has a lovely personality. 5 years old and weighing 85 pounds, Zoey is very healthy, fixed, up to date on shots, house trained and well behaved. 1.) She is easy to own, low maintenance 2.) She has those eyes that just melt your heart 3.) She is very sensitive to human emotion and just has a 6th sense when something isn’t right 4.) She is highly expressive and wears her mood on her sleeve, if you will 5.) She is super human submissive and listens without question to human commands Zoey is looking for a very loving home with owners who have lots of time for her. She would do best as an only dog in a home with a securely fenced yard. She has so much love to offer, and her size makes you feel very safe and protected. She loves walks, playing with chew toys and sleeping near the fireplace. Why is Zoey Being Rehomed? It is heartbreaking on a couple fronts, but since my lab has been diagnosed with Cancer, the stress on Zoey has caused her to become very distant, depressed, and more defensive than normal when it comes to things like food. She is used to being fed away from other dogs and any new owner should continue that practice. A home without other dogs may just offer Zoey the best life. She has so much love to give and we would love to have a family looking for a rescue ( I got her from the Michigan Humane Society as a puppy) who have a huge heart to receive all she has to offer. She is so easy to manage in the event the family gets busy and really is more like a cat than a dog. We would love nothing more than for her to be in a family where she can be the center of attention. There is a $150 adoption/rehoming fee. Supplies and veterinary records included. Questions about Zoey? Contact our Detroit dog rehoming team today. Text “Zoey” to (888) 833-2128 or email ZoeyDog-lover.us. We look forward to hearing from you.

Please visit .caninelifeline/adoption-process/ for more information about our adoption process and to submit an online application. Here’s Bingo, a 1 year-old Terrier mix male with big brown eyes who may have a little Bearded Collie in the mix too. We don’t know for sure since Bingo came to us as a stray from an overcrowded rural county dog shelter. Bingo may have been fending for himself for a bit as he was very dirty and full of burrs, twigs, etc when he got to the shelter. He also seemed to be very ready to defend himself around other males. Now that Bingo has been with us for a few weeks, he has been neutered and he is settling into the routine in his foster home. He has excellent crate manners so is likely to be pick up the housetraining routine quickly in his new home. In his foster home, Bingo gets along very well with female dogs but occasionally still has an issue with another male. As time goes on, he will likely improve in that area. Bingo might enjoy being the only dog in the home as he does enjoy attention from his human friends. He would love to enroll in an obedience class with his new family so that he can be the best good canine citizen he can be! Bingo weighs about 25 pounds and his adoption fee is $250. He’s neutered, heartworm negative and on monthly preventative, up to date on vaccinations including bivalent canine influenza, wormed, on flea and tick preventative, and microchipped. As part of the adoption process, all adopters must commit to a two-week adjustment period to make sure it’s a great match before the adoption is finalized. Please email infocaninelifeline if you’re interested in Bingo. An approved application is required before we schedule meets with any of our dogs. We have no foster homes with young children so aren’t comfortable placing any of them in a home with children less than 7 years of age. We try to respond to inquiries within 72 hours so if you haven’t heard from us within that time frame, please check your junkmail or spam folder to make sure our reply hasn’t landed in there. If you love Labs, you are definitely going to want to meet Tucker. This sweet 3 year-old boy looks to us like a Lab/Boxer mix male and what a gem he is! He found himself at a high-kill county dog shelter right before Christmas and was facing euthanasia in the overcrowded shelter. Fortunately, a neighboring humane society pulled him to save his life and then contacted us for help with him. This boy arrived at the shelter VERY underweight so it looks like he had either been on his own for awhile or neglected in his previous home. He is working on putting on another 10 pounds or so in his foster home. Fortunately, he has a great appetite so he should reach his ideal weight without too much trouble. Everyone who has met Tucker has commented on what a NICE dog he is, including our vet. Tucker does great with other dogs and is kind, gentle, and loving with all people that he meets. He likes to lean against his human friends when he’s out for a walk and would likely enjoy being a lap dog as well. He keeps his crate spotless although he would much prefer to be out and not crated. We can’t say for sure that he’s housetrained but with some supervision, he should pick up the house rules very quickly. Tucker was very stoic and serious in front of the camera so you will have to meet him to see what a sweet boy he is! Tucker weighs about 56 pounds currently but is working on gaining about 10 to be at his ideal weight. His adoption fee is $250. Please visit .caninelifeline/adoption-process/ for more information about our adoption process and to submit an online application. MILLIE HAS AN ADOPTION PENDING. If you love Boxers, you’re going to be head over heels for our Millie! This lovely 7 year-old girl shows some gray in her face but that only reflects just how wise and wonderful she is. Millie fell upon hard times as her owner lost his home and had to move in with relatives. They didn’t want Millie in the house so she was forced to live outside on a chain. That was a horrible thing for this former housedog to have to endure so her owner agreed to relinquish her to a shelter so she could find a much better home. From the shelter, Millie made the trip to Canine Lifeline so she could relax in a foster home while she searched for a permanent new home. Millie is both dog and people friendly. She knows many commands and will eagerly sit and shake both paws for a treat. Millie walks nicely on a leash, has excellent crate manners, and is likely to be housetrained too. She’s the type of dog who’s likely to walk right into her new house and make herself at home. Millie is going to be so very grateful to the person or family who gives her a second chance at a safe, warm, and happy life. She weighs about 45 pounds but is thin and needs to gain a few more to be at her ideal weight. Her adoption fee is $150. She’s spayed, heartworm negative and on monthly preventative, up to date on vaccinations including bivalent canine influenza, wormed, on flea preventative, and microchipped. All Canine Lifeline adoptions come with a two-week adjustment period to make sure it’s a great match before the adoption is finalized. Please email infocaninelifeline if you’re interested in Millie. Please visit .caninelifeline/adoption-process/ for more information about our adoption process and to submit an online application. COLT HAS AN ADOPTION PENDING. Colt is one of a litter of Border Collie mix pups who were surrendered to a county dog shelter in mid-December at about 6 weeks of age. He and his littermates made the trip from the overcrowded shelter to Canine Lifeline so they could enjoy lots of TLC in a foster home until they were old enough to find permanent homes. Colt is now about 9-10 weeks old and eager to find his very own home. This gorgeous pup is your typically sweet, playful, energetic, and rambunctious puppy but he also loves to be held and cuddled once playtime is over. He is not housetrained and needs to find a home where his family is able to let him outside about every 2 hours or so during the day so he can work on that. Please visit .caninelifeline/adoption-process/ for more information about our adoption process and to submit an online application. BAILEY HAS AN ADOPTION PENDING. Bailey is an absolutely gorgeous puppy who’s had a rough life to date but her luck has now changed and she has a bright future ahead of her. This 4 month-old Husky/Collie mix girl found herself homeless at a rural county dog shelter with what appeared to be an old injury to her left front leg. From the shelter, she made the trip to Canine Lifeline so she would get the medical attention she needed. Upon examination, our vet speculated that she may have lost most of her left front leg in a leghold trap and recommended surgery to remove what remained of that leg. Bailey had amputation surgery on 12-27 and has spent the last few weeks recuperating in a foster home. This little girl has been a dream puppy. While recuperating, she stayed in a large exercise pen with her comfy bed, food, water, and toys on one side and pee pads on the other. Bailey always peed and pooped away from her bed and has never chewed on her bed or blankets. She is a very tidy girl! In true Husky fashion, Bailey likes to “sing” at times. She’s especially vocal when riding in the car and will give a cute little howl when she sees something interesting. Bailey gets along well with other dogs and now that her amputation has healed she can spend more time playing with them. This little girl is a true joy and is going to make one very lucky person or family very happy. Bailey weighed about 14 pounds on 1-8-19 and we expect she’ll be about 30-35 pounds once full-grown. Her adoption fee is $350. She’s spayed, on monthly heartworm preventative, up to date on vaccinations including bivalent canine influenza, wormed, on flea preventative, and microchipped. Rosebud and her sister Violet were found as strays and taken to a rural county dog shelter. When they weren’t claimed, both made the trip to Canine Lifeline so they would be able to enjoy life in a foster home while searching for permanent new homes. These girls are about 10 months to a year-old and look like Lab/Beagle/Corgi mixes. In Rosebud’s case, there’s more the emphasis on Lab and Beagle as her legs are not nearly as short as her sister. When she was found, Rosebud had a little bit of hairloss consistent with demodectic mange (type that is NOT contagious to other dogs and people). She is now on Bravecto, the 3 month flea and tick preventative, which is also effective against demodectic mange mites, and her coat is looking very good. Rosebud LOVES to play—with other dogs, toys, people, just about with anyone or anything who will engage her. She’s still very much of a puppy so will need work on obedience training as well as continuing the crate- and housetraining that are underway in her foster home. She’s also still trying to figure out what walking on a leash is all about but with daily practice should soon to realize how much fun it is to be out exploring with her new family. This sweet girl is going to make a great friend for one very lucky person or family as long as they have the time and energy to devote to an active young dog. Rosebud weighs about 23 pounds and her adoption fee is $250. She’s spayed, heartworm negative and on monthly preventative, up to date on vaccinations including bivalent canine influenza, wormed, on flea preventative, and microchipped.
