Zoey is a Chow Chow English Mastiff Mix Dog for private adoption by owner in Macomb Michigan. Zoey has a lovely personality. 5 years old and weighing 85 pounds, Zoey is very healthy, fixed, up to date on shots, house trained and well behaved. 1.) She is easy to own, low maintenance 2.) She has those eyes that just melt your heart 3.) She is very sensitive to human emotion and just has a 6th sense when something isn’t right 4.) She is highly expressive and wears her mood on her sleeve, if you will 5.) She is super human submissive and listens without question to human commands Zoey is looking for a very loving home with owners who have lots of time for her. She would do best as an only dog in a home with a securely fenced yard. She has so much love to offer, and her size makes you feel very safe and protected. She loves walks, playing with chew toys and sleeping near the fireplace. Why is Zoey Being Rehomed? It is heartbreaking on a couple fronts, but since my lab has been diagnosed with Cancer, the stress on Zoey has caused her to become very distant, depressed, and more defensive than normal when it comes to things like food. She is used to being fed away from other dogs and any new owner should continue that practice. A home without other dogs may just offer Zoey the best life. She has so much love to give and we would love to have a family looking for a rescue ( I got her from the Michigan Humane Society as a puppy) who have a huge heart to receive all she has to offer. She is so easy to manage in the event the family gets busy and really is more like a cat than a dog. We would love nothing more than for her to be in a family where she can be the center of attention. There is a $150 adoption/rehoming fee. Supplies and veterinary records included. Questions about Zoey? Contact our Detroit dog rehoming team today. Text “Zoey” to (888) 833-2128 or email ZoeyDog-lover.us. We look forward to hearing from you.

    Breed: Chipin
    Sex: Female Female
    Age: Adult
    Location: USA
Distance: Aprox. 11.1 mi from Detroit
Posted Breed: Chihuahua / Miniature Pinscher / Mixed. Chica resides at her foster mom's home. Please e-mail infosheltertohome for an application, more information or to set up an appointment to meet her. *Chica needs to be placed in a home with a family that has the time, energy, and patience to work with her potty issues. In her foster home, she is crated when no one is home to prevent accidents. Even with interventions, she still has occasional accidents in the home.* Chica was turned in as a stray to the shelter. Due to her being small and a little skittish, she would do better with older children. She loves toys and has a playful, energetic disposition. She is very friendly and would make a great lap dog. **All Shelter to Home animals are fully vetted per their age. We believe in pediatric spay and neuter. All animals will be spayed or neutered, tested for FIV/FeLV or heartworm, given age-appropriate boosters and rabies, dewormed, flea treated, and anything extra that is needed to give this animal a wonderful forever life in a permanent home. Adoption fees are usually $100 for cats and between $150-$250 for dogs, unless the pet is sponsored or we are running a promotion.**

Posted Breed: Shepherd / Mixed. Wiley resides at his foster mom's home. Please e-mail OSimplelifecomcast for an application, more information or to set up an appointment to meet him. 70 pounds of big lovable goofball! Wiley is still a young dog at approximately 2 yrs old and needs activity, a firm hand and direction and lots of love. He tries to be small and lay in my lap and wants to hug at any opportunity. Mostly, he is content laying in the same room I am in and moving around inside and outside as I putter around the house. A couple of times a day, his puppy exuberance kicks in and you will need to play with him--he plays a sort of fetch with stuffed toys (won't play with ball) which he will both return to you and run around tossing himself. I have taught him to sit and get in a car --he is quick to learn. Wiley arrived at the Rescue after getting hit by a car and taken to emergency care. The only visible effects of his accident may be a skip in his back leg when he runs but he seems normal and healthy in my home. He gets along with dogs but is a little too interested in cats--he wants to chase them. I would be cautious about young children just because of his size and energy and they will probably get knocked over or slapped with his tail. He is an escape artist from gates and crates (reinforcement works). While I crate him just to contain him during meals and getting the other pets moved around, he has not been any problem without the crate. He is house trained and has not bothered either things or food when left alone (with other animals--not sure how he will react if totally alone). He has left my yard unleashed (chasing my cat) but wasn't hard to recapture. Wiley is a fun lovable dog that will be a great dog with a bit of effort. He will sit in a group of other dogs and wait his turn for treats but at meal time will get impatient and want to help them clean their dishes. He is neutered, dewormed, and vaccinated. Please email OSimplelife comcast with questions or interest. **All Shelter to Home animals are fully vetted per their age. We believe in pediatric spay and neuter. Posted Breed: American Pit Bull Terrier / Mixed. Hi there, my name is Charlie and I am a Pit Bull terrier mix. I reside at my foster mom's home. Please e-mail infosheltertohome for an application, more information or to set up an appointment to meet me. I've spent the last few months getting healthy after spending time in a local animal shelter. My foster Mom says i'm a good boy and am fully potty trained. I dont chew things, except my toys, and when i'm not playing outside, i like to snuggle and take naps. I currently live with a kitty named Chloe who i mostly ignore cause she scares me a little. I haven't ever met a cat before so I watch her if she gets close. I'm getting ready to go to training classes soon and my foster Mom says i'm pretty good walking on a leash although its new for me. As i am a big boy, I would do best with older kids and adults. **All Shelter to Home animals are fully vetted per their age. We believe in pediatric spay and neuter. Posted Breed: Shar Pei / American Pit Bull Terrier / Mixed. Zeus resides at his foster family's home. Please e-mail infosheltertohome for an application, more information or to set up an appointment to meet him. 2 year old Zeus is a happy 80 pound boy who came to us in January. He had Entropian, severe ear infections, and skin issues. We have come a long way since January! His eyes were successfully corrected with surgery and our Dermatologist has determined that the ear and skin issues are due to allergies. To prevent these issues from coming back, Zeus will need to have an allergy shot given at home every 2 weeks. The approximate cost for the shots is $350 per year. Weekly to bi-weekly baths using a hypoallergenic shampoo are also required to help keep the allergies from becoming a problem. Zeus was tested and we know that he is allergic to cat dander, grass pollen, fall weeds, dust mites and tree pollen. He will not be adopted to anyone who has cats since we know this will cause him problems. Zeus loves taking baths! Currently we use the Pet Supplies Plus self serve bath station. He also loves long walks, playing fetch, and earning treats. We have been working on basic commands, he is food motivated so rewarding with treats work great! He is crate trained, stays in it during the day while we work and at bed time also. Zeus has gone to daycare with other dogs and lives with two other dogs in his foster home. Daily exercise and older children are recommended for Zeus due to his size and playfulness. A fenced yard is required and he is not a good fit for someone in an apartment or condo. Adoption fee is $175.00 **All Shelter to Home animals are fully vetted per their age. We believe in pediatric spay and neuter. If interested in any of our animals for adoption, or to foster an animal, please fill out the respective application here to get the process started. Visit our FAQ webpage for commonly asked questions about our adoption/foster process. Hi! My name is Okami and I’ve been told I’m a very handsome boy. I mostly respond to Frost, but will respond to any name if you have a treat in your hand! I’m currently in training because I’m not very fond of sharing my toys but I’m learning that sharing can be fun. I’m a really smart doggie. I know commands like sit, shake, lay down, and I LOVE playing fetch!! I also walk really well on leash if you ask me to. The cold weather doesn’t bother me at all; I love rolling around in the snow and would love a yard to play in. I need slow introductions to dogs and would prefer a home without cats. I would also do best in a home without kids since I’m still working on my sharing. A home with somebody who has breed experience or a very experienced dog owner would be best, I need someone who is willing to continue everything I learn in training at home. In return I will provide you with endless doggie kisses and snuggles. Please stop by and meet me, I would love to go for a walk and give you a million reasons to fall in love with. Posted Breed: Boxer / Pointer / Mixed (short coat). Adoption Fee: $285.00. Hudson aka Chloe was returned to the rescue due to no fault of her own. She was adopted as a puppy and is now pretty grown up. Here is what her former family says about her: Chloe also responds to Peachy. The vet said a lab mix but I think maybe some pointer too? She just turned one on 10/04/2018 and is so loving! She is a big cuddler and gets hyper meeting new people but is pretty calm for her age. She likes small dogs and likes some big dogs but usually needs time to warm up to big dogs and hates groups of big dogs. She's never been around cats. She loves people!! She does jump on people and nibbles when playing especially if left alone all day and wants to play. She rings a bell to go to the bathroom but if you don't do that, I'm sure she'd still go wait by the door. She may need some reinforcement with potty training but she's good about it most of the time. She may have a grain allergy so we just feed her grain free food. She is up to date on all of her shots, spayed, and microchipped. Happy Days Dog and Cat Rescue microchips all dogs and cats before adoption. Microchips are implanted between the shoulder blades and are another form of identification should the animal get lost. The microchips are registered to Happy Days Dog and Cat Rescue. The adopter's information is added once the adoption is complete. The adopter is responsible for a $19.99/Year registration fee or a $69.00/Lifetime registration fee to change information. Dogs and Cats still need to have collar with tags should they get lost.

Visit our FAQ webpage for commonly asked questions about our adoption/foster process. This is Wayne, aka Luke, and I believe he is a Yellow Lab mixed with Shar Pei due to the fact that he has a head full of wrinkles. :-) Wayne is a very nice boy who loves to be near his people. He may need a few days to get comfortable but once that happens, he is a real sweetheart. Wayne is crate trained and potty trained as well. He is playful and likes to run around in the yard with other dogs but settles nicely once inside. Wayne is a medium sized boy making him the perfect fit in most any living situation. He travels well in the car and enjoys to go for walks but does pull a bit. He has met children in the household and doesn't seem overly interested but I believe he would do best in a home without with kids. Wayne is a good boy and will make someone very happy but we do feel that he would be best with an experienced owner.
