Luigi and Carmela, Border Collie Labrador Retriever Mix Dogs For Adoption in Chicago IL. Luigi and Carmela are a bonded pair of Male and Female Border Collie Labrador Retriever Mix Dogs for adoption to a very loving home in or near Chicago, IL. These very special Dogs are approaching 4 years old years old and weigh around 75 pounds each. Luigi and Carmela are being placed for adoption by owner for the following reasons: We are away at work way too much now. It has been two months with this schedule with no change anticipated in the future. In addition, we live in a high rise in downtown Chicago, our choice, and the dogs really need a fenced yard and no other animals around. They love any heavy chew toy like Benebone and they love their Greenies and Dentastix. They love playing with each other. Carmela is great at fetching a ball – Luigi not so much. They LOVE to run….we jog together 2-3 times a week – all three of us. Request to Adopt Luigi and Carmela Here There is a $250 adoption/rehoming fee to adopt both dogs together as a bonded pair. Supplies and veterinary records will be included. Questions about Luigi and Carmela? Contact our Chicago Dog rehoming team today. Text “LuigiCarmela” to (888) 833-2128 or email LuigiCarmelaDog-lover.us. We look forward to hearing from you. pet-net/chicago-border-collie-labrador-retriever-mix-dogs-adoption/

Posted Breed: American Bulldog / Yellow Labrador Retriever / Mixed. Updated: 11/05/2018 Hey there - I'm Dancing Bear (psssst - I really do dance!). I am about 3 years old and 65 lbs - which means I still love fun but I also like naps and snuggles. I am *such* a happy guy!! I definitely have a half-glass full (of FUN!) attitude and am interested in *everything*! I've got a lot going for me - I am already house trained, crate trained, and know my basic commands. I get to go on long walks with my foster family all over the place - on the Oak Leaf Trail, through busy city neighborhoods, at the park with other dogs, and am great at sticking by their side and sitting at corners and whenever they stop (except for the pesky rabbits!). If I'm on a leash, I can get *way* too excited when I see other dogs, I am working on knowing that I need to be more patient - I let out some really loud barks which can scare everyone! I also love car rides, I sit at the open window and just watch the world go by. I've lived with lots of different kinds of dogs - I tend to start out thinking I need to act like a tough guy, but give me strict directions and patience and I'll soon act like the marshmallow of a guy I am. I really need what all dogs need - a strong leader who can tell me what to do, cause dogs don't do well when they have to make the decisions! I do really love my people!! I think that everything they do is SO fascinating, I am a very Curious George and follow them everywhere and watch everything they do. I've lived with kids of all different ages, and am very gentle with them - I seem to know that they aren't just small adults. I'm not touchy anywhere - paws, tails, ears, mouth - any way I can get attention makes me happy. And I love toys!!! I love to play fetch, and do a quick happy dance when I catch it (remember my name, right?) Soft toys tend to end up without their stuffing, but I still love them and like to carry them around. And some good chew toys are always handy for me cause I love to gnaw on them, but I don't chew things I shouldn't! I am pretty self-entertaining, I love to dig through the doggy toy basket in my foster home, pick out a toy, then plop on the dog bed, preferably touching you. My foster family definitely sees the lab personality in me, because I approach everything with hope and the promise of fun. So if you like a big doofus of a guy who's super loving, kinda clumsy in his enthusiasm, and happy all the time - PICK ME!!! Adoption Fee: $400.00 We are a Wisconsin state licensed dog rescue -WI# 402433 ***We do not have a central adoption center at this time. All our dogs are in private foster homes within WI. At this time we only place our dogs in areas of WI. The breed of our dogs is our best guess with the help of our veterinarians. Our Weight Classes are as follows: 0- 25lbs - Small 26- 45lbs - Medium 46-89 - Large 90+ X-large If you are adopting an adult dog, which we consider 6 months of age or older, your adoption fee includes the following: Spay/Neuter, Rabies and Distemper shots, dewormed, flea & tick preventative, heartworm tested and microchipped. If you are adopting a dog younger than 6 months of age, the dog will be up to date on the shots as per the dogs age. The dog will be dewormed, flea/tick preventative and microchipped. We only spay/neuter our dogs by 6 months of age. If you decide to adopt a younger dog than 6 months of age, they will need to be spayed/neutered at one of our preferred clinics. This will be determined by your contract along with the month they should have their surgery. This is included in your adoption fee. Once you are approved with our rescue, you can meet any one of our dogs within the fosters home. If you are interested in the dog you met, you can take the dog home under our mandatory foster to adopt program. You receive 5 days to see if the dog is the right fit for your home. If it is, we will conduct the home visit and finalize adoption. If it is not, it is returned to the foster. We are happy to find you another dog that meets your needs in your home. If a dog is listed as PENDING, a family has met the dog and planning on adopting the dog after the home visit has been conducted. We always suggest sending in an application for a dog because there are times where the dogs are given back to us under the foster to adopt program. There are many reasons dogs are returned but normally it just was not the right fit for all. Please go to WWW.TAILWAGGERS911.COM under HOW TO ADOPT . Posted Breed: Labrador Retriever / Mixed (short coat). Updated: 11/8/2018 Hi, my name is Crystal! My foster mom says that is because I am bright and shiny and what you see is what you get. I am about 1 year old and about 40 lbs. I hitched a ride to Wisconsin from Georgia in September, but I showed signs of possibly being pregnant, so had to wait to become available to find that special fur-ever home I dream about. Turns out I wasn't pregnant and have now been spayed and am ready for someone great to come along and adopt me. I do well with other dogs, but sometimes in the beginning need a proper introduction and time to get to know my new playmates. Usually, most of my few arguments with other dogs are over little things like a favorite bone or toy. Luckily, that has happened rarely and I have learned to just leave it. My foster mom says I really do love to play and enjoy a good game of tug of war with my rope or chasing a ball and bringing it back. Sometimes I'm just so happy now that I just want to run and run, but when called I do return on command. Walks are great too, but I just get so excited to be going I tend to tug and am learning this thing called manners. I am also learning manners regarding meeting new people and children, such as not jumping on them to greet them. But, I just LOVE people and kids so much it is hard to contain my enthusiasm. My ideal home could possibly have another dog for me to play with that loves running as much as I do; maybe one my size or larger. The other wish I have is someone who has kids. Kids are just so much fun to play with. Would you have time to sit and cuddle with me as well? I really love a good cuddle time. Oh yeah, did I mention playing time? Oh that's right, I wrote that above, but just wanted to make sure it is here. I'm not sure about having a cat in the house, as I have never been by any. From her foster mama: Crystal is a very affectionate, intelligent dog, yet she still has quite a bit of puppy in her. Whoever adopts her would find themselves with a great companion full of fun, yet knows when it's quiet time. She is fully house-trained and will whine when she needs to go out. When putting the leash on or taking it off she knows to sit. We are working on her leash manners and also refraining from jumping on people when excited. With both these things we are making big strides. Did I mention her how affectionates she is? She'll just cuddle up to you, lay her head in your lap and be totally happy. The two biggest things Crystal needs is someone who is willing to take the time for further training and LOTS of love and affection (is that two things or three?) Whomever adopts Crystal is getting a true gem! Adoption Fee: $400.00 We are a Wisconsin state licensed dog rescue -WI# 402433 ***We do not have a central adoption center at this time. Coal (fka Gourd) is a 4+ year old, 45 lb lab mix looking for a family. He is getting more exercise now and is a happy boy! Guess what, he even previously lived with a cat and did just fine. He has been around kids 8 years and older and was very respectful and happy to meet them. He is in doggy daycare and loves running and playing with friends. He has not met a dog big or small, male or female that he doesn’t like. After playing, he loves to cuddle at his people’s feet and take a nap. He sleeps in his kennel overnight and is a suchgood boy. He walks well on leash with a training collar, sometimes he gets excited and wants to pull. He LOVES food and as long as he has rules he does not counter surf or jump and try to get whatever good thing you might be eating :). He is a social boy who would love to stay social and be part of your life!! I’m house trained and crate trained (I only go in my crate when my family leaves for a few hours, but at night I’m fine not being in one). I love to play with all sorts of toys, but do have to be reminded sometimes not to choose certain things.... like shoes.. oops! Im still learning how to walk politely on a leash, I do alright but need more practice, which my foster family os working on. I think a fenced in yard would be incredible so I can run, but as long as there's a plan for me to get my exercise it's not required. I LOVE to cuddle, take long naps (I even sleep on my back, which makes my Foster Mom laugh). I’m good with other dogs and kids. In the meantime I’m just hanging out waiting for my furever home. I’m from the Batman Villains litter! I am about 8 months old and 30 lbs so I don’t take up too much room but I like to act and play like a big dog. I have lots of energy so I need a family to go on adventures with. I love going for walks and I get along great with other dogs so I would also love trips to the dog park or doggy daycare. In new situations I am a little nervous and I need time to adjust to new surroundings, but once I am comfortable, I am everyone’s best friend! Some of my favorite activities are: greeting my favorite people, walks, playing with toys and other dogs, and most of all CUDDLING!! I have not had any issues with any of the kids I have met, but I think I would like to live with adults and kids over 8 years old and I would love a doggy sibling to wrestle and play with. I can also live with cats! I am completely house trained and can be crated. As long as you are ok with giving me time to adjust and trust you and your friends, I’ll be the perfect dog for you!! I met lots of amazing people and dogs at Fromm Petfest, but I haven't found my forever family yet. If you're looking for a young (I'm about 1 year old), medium size (I'm about 30 lbs) dog, I might be your gal. I'm fully house trained and crate trained. I stay in the crate during the day while my foster mom goes to work. When she gets home, I play for a while (I love my chew toys/tennis balls and running in the backyard) but then snuggle on the sofa with her while she watches TV. I love giving kisses and interacting with my people. I've been so well behaved lately I even get to sleep on the bed at night. She says I'm a great mix of personality and caring. I'm also really smart (I'm ready for you to teach me lots of tricks). I'm good with dogs but haven't been around cats. I'm probably best suited to school age kids, since I get the zoomies sometimes and might knock little ones down. I love to play chase with my foster mom’s big dog and find cats fascinating. I’m housetrained and am learning quick to only mark outside. I hang out in my crate when my foster mom is at work and I don’t mind sleeping in it at night either. I’m learning about leash walking too. I would do well in an active home as I am very athletic and my foster mom thinks I would be a great agility dog. I’m smart and quick and very lovable! Posted Breed: Chihuahua / Mixed (short coat). Updated: 10/31/2018 Litter Name: Star Trek Hi I’m Spock! I am about 16 weeks old, weigh 5 lbs and have the most beautiful blond coat you’ll ever see! I’ll get the boring stuff out of the way first- I am pretty much house trained (a few accidents every once in a while, but I try hard to hold it), crate trained (I don’t mind spending a few hours in my crate if you toss in some toys) and know “wait” and “come”. Now the fun stuff- I AM A CHARACTER! I love to play with all toys, especially the ones that are bigger than me. Sometimes when I get really excited I hop around like a rabbit. My favorite thing to do is play with my foster sister- wrestle, play chase, tug-a-war and chew on bones together. At the end of the day I love to curl up with my foster sister or my foster parents and fall asleep, nothing beats a warm body to sleep on! I have met so many people, adults and kids, and I love them all. I am a very well behaved little man and I promise to put a smile on your face every day if you give me a chance. Adoption Fee: $475.00 We are a Wisconsin state licensed dog rescue -WI# 402433 ***We do not have a central adoption center at this time. We have an online application that is very easy to fill out.

Posted Breed: Labrador Retriever / Mixed (short coat). Updated: 10/30/2018 Hi, I'm Boots. I'm a 6-8 year old lab mix and I weigh about 50lbs. I'm a mellow guy who likes his naps, walks, and bones. I'm also quiet in the house and I don't touch anything I'm not supposed to. I currently live with another dog and cat with no issues. I'm housebroken and don't even need to be in a crate when foster mom is gone during the day because I'm so good. I can come off as shy at first, but I definitely come out of my shell in no time! I may look older, but I do still have some energy. I stayed at a temp foster home while my foster mom was on vacation and she had nothing but good things to say about me! I love to be by my people and I need a forever home to lay my handsome head.
