Distance: Aprox. 147.9 mi from Philadelphia
Bella is a Maltese and is 9 months old. She is spayed, chipped and up to date on all her shots. (Shot record will be provided). She is potty pad trained. Bella weighs around 8 pounds and will not get much bigger. She has a great disposition and likes to curl up with you when she sleeps. We have had Bella since she was 3 months old and are not able to care for her due to work schedules, etc. We want her to go to a good home, so we will be asking questions to get a sense that she will be taken care of properly. We live in the southern Maryland area. No shipping, she must be picked up from our home.

    Breed: Mutt
    Sex: Male Male
    Age: Adult

Posted Breed: Unknown breed (medium coat). 2019 is going to be Ollie's year! He's looking for a home that can appreciate an independent and confident little guy. He's not the biggest fan of some other dogs, but that's okay- he's more of a "human-people person" anyway. Ollie could potentially live with older, respectful kids who can handle his energy and occasional sass. Ollie's hobbies include demanding belly rubs, playing tug of war and tossing his toys in the air, and going on the occasional relaxing car ride. Once Ollie's coat grows in, it will require frequent brushing and periodic visits to the groomer. He came to us full of painful mats, but he's feeling much more like himself with a fresh haircut! Age: 4 to 6 years How I came to PAWS: Found as stray Animal ID#: A40840566 Size/Weight: ~17-20lbs (Ollie is overweight and needs some help shedding a few pounds!) Mixed breed (It’s impossible to identify breed mix by sight alone, so for most dogs, their mix is only a guess. We get to know each dog as an individual and strive to make matches based on personality, not on breed label.) Breed: Mutt
    Sex: Male Male
    Age: Young
    Location: USA
Posted Breed: Terrier / Mixed (short coat). With his built-in tux, Andy Dwyer is dressed for any occasion! This young dog was found as a stray but totally has the makings of a treasured family member. To help him be the best doggy he can be, Andy Dwyer could use some basic obedience training. We believe he will flourish in a home that can offer mental stimulation via enrichment toys/activities and as well as daily exercise. Andy's not the biggest fan of cats, or other dogs at the shelter presently, so we think he'd prefer to be the only pup in the home. Charlie

    rescue
    Breed: Mutt
    Sex: Male Male
    Age: Adult
    Location: USA
Posted Breed: Unknown breed (medium coat). Charlie is a very energetic, social boy. He likes walks in the rain, slow introductions, and being the center of attention. Charlie could live with other dogs his size and older, dog-savvy children (he's not a huge fan of toddlers). He could probably live with confident, dog-friendly cats - he likes them, but his persistence in getting acquainted could overwhelm some shy felines. Charlie would love a home with folks who are around a lot, since he gets anxious when left alone. He'll also need a family that can attend to his sensitivity to chicken/poultry, and keep up with his regular grooming needs. Location: Grays Ferry Clinic (All our dog meets are by appointment for approved adopters only.) Breed: Mixed (Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable so for most of the dogs we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each dog as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not by breed label) Age: 4-6 years old Weight: 6 pounds Reason for surrender to shelter: Charlie's previous family couldn't afford to take him with when they were moving. If you are interested in meeting Charlie, please email dogsphillypaws for an application. If you have questions, please email the above address or contact our adoption staff at 215-298-9680, ext. 16. We believe Shar needs a confident handler who will be patient and work with her. You see, Shar needs to build up confidence and a strong routine would do her a world of good. Breed: Mutt
    Sex: Female Female
    Age: Adult
    Location: USA
Posted Breed: Unknown breed (short coat). In search of a sweet, cuddly best friend? Look no further! My name is Kingsley. I was found roaming the streets of northwest Philly, but my ruff start left no impact on my ability to love people. Scratch my belly and I’ll be yours forever! I have an expressive personality and I will be sure to let you know whatever I am thinking. My favorite place to be is by your side. I love a good jog and would thrive in an active home, ideally with lots of space to run around and play. I am super friendly to everyone, but since I’m under the impression that I’m a lap dog I’d do best in a home with bigger kids. I love playing with all dogs big and small. If this hasn’t sold you already, I am also completely potty trained. Come fall in love with me today! I would love a home with folks who are around a lot and can give me lots of time and attention, since I get anxious when left alone. I would do well having dog friends, and doing things like going to dog parks and doggy daycare, since I'm a very social boy! Breed: Mutt
    Sex: Female Female
    Age: Senior
    Location: USA
Posted Breed: Unknown breed (medium coat). If you are looking for a new best friend, Sasha is your girl! She will greet you with happy wiggles and shower you with cuddles and kisses! She loves to be anywhere her special people are and is content to curl up in a soft bed. Some of the activities that Sasha enjoys include shopping, car rides, and walks in the neighborhood or park. She has good car manners and has been known to cause people in other cars to spontaneously smile when she peeks out the window! Although she is a senior gal, Sasha still has a lot of pep in her step! Sasha would thrive in a home where someone is there a good part of the day or can take her with them. She would probably do well as an only pet or with a friendly dog that is of similar size. Cats are questionable. Age: 13 years How I came to PAWS: Sasha was surrendered because her previous owner was moving away.
