Breed: German Shepherd Dog-Labrador Retriever Mix
    Sex: Male Male
    Age: Adult
    Location: USA
Nala & Simba are a male and female pair of German Shepherd Labrador Retriever Mix Dogs for private adoption to a very loving home in or near Raleigh NC. These very special dogs are 5 years old (March 2013) and weigh about 55 pounds. Both dogs are fixed, up to date on shots and very healthy. They are house trained and well behaved. Simba and Nala love people and are very good with children. They are calm, playful, affectionate and devoted – the perfect family dogs. Nala and Simba’s owners have raised them with love since they were puppies. They have see both dogs mature into confident, wonderful dogs that would be a good addition to almost any home. Unfortunately, with raising small children and working long hours, it is difficult to find the time to give Simba and Nala the exercise and care they deserve. The family will soon be moving to a different home, and there is not enough space either indoors – or outdoors for the dogs to be happy and healthy. The family is heartbroken to have to rehome Nala and Simba, but are hopeful that the dogs can be placed in the ideal home – with a family that has lots of time for them, and who owns their own home with a large, securely fenced yard. Nala and Simba will be rehomed with all supplies and vet records. All you need to add is love, a great home environment for them, and the time to give them the care, attention and exercise they deserve. There is a $200 adoption/rehoming fee to adopt both dogs together. Supplies and vet records will be included. Contact our Raleigh dog rehoming team. Text NalaSimba to (888) 833-2128, call (888) 720-3322 or email NalaSimbadog-lover.us. We look forward to hearing from you.

This sweet boy, Titan, is 6 years old and was an owner surrender. He has been with his foster mom for a little over a month and is ready to be adopted! He was fixed during that time and is up to date on vaccines! He is SO SWEET - zero signs of any aggression and has been great with both small and large dogs, always wanting to play. He loves running around outside, but sleeps inside. He is always happy and LOVES any attention he can get. Home checks will be required!

Max is said to be house-trained, crate-trained and knows the command sit, he also plays fetch and rides in the car well too! He is around 2 years old and about 69 lbs. He is a great all-around American Lab that is wishing for a heart and home that will be his forever and in return he will give you lots of fetching playdates, tail wags and memories to last a lifetime! The SPCA has an adoption counseling process for adopters to learn adoption guidelines and adoption options. Hey - you! Oh wait, am I supposed to introduce myself? My name is April, and I hope you are ready for fun because fun is my middle name! I may be a little shy at first, but once we are friends, I have a feeling I am going to be your new running partner! Running is one of my favorite things! I hope you will teach me tricks like sit or stay, too. I''m very good at finding all kinds of things while we''re outside. I''m also good at running around at top speed and then crashing on the couch for a bit, but then I''m ready to go again after my quick nap! Maybe we can take a nap together! If this sounds like fun to you, adopt me today! I currently weigh ~24 lbs. but I need to gain some weight to look and feel my best. *I have a sophisticated medical history - please speak with an adoption specialist for details.* ~My adoption fee is $95.00.~ Dogs? Yes! Cats? Unsure. Children? Yes. Housetrained? Working on it, and I made progress in foster. How did I get here? Transferred from Nash County Animal Shelter with my mom and littermates; adopted and returned when my owner could no longer care for me. Many adoptions will take approximately 1 hour or more. My name is Kermie and I love to go, go, go. I''m a very sweet boy and I think I would make an amazing hiking buddy. Hiking is a great way to burn off some energy and encourages me to keep all four feet on the ground. You know what else I love? Rope toys! Sometimes I get overly excited during playtime and need a few minutes to cool off, but I just can''t help it! Ropes are so exciting! They aren''t the only fun toy and hope you have a variety to play with at home. Once I''m all worn out, I''d love nothing better than to snuggle up by your side. Will you be my new family? Great! Let''s go! I''m full grown at ~66 lbs. ~My adoption fee is $95.00~ Cats? Unknown. Dogs? No. Children? Older kids are fine. Housetrained? Yes. Energy level? High. Training needs? I''d benefit from plenty of training and enrichment! How did I get here? Transferred from Scotland County Humane Society, adopted and returned to the SPCA due to HOA size restrictions. Breed: Catahoula Leopard Dog
    Sex: Female Female
    Age: Adult
    Location: USA
Posted Breed: Catahoula Leopard Dog / Catahoula Leopard Dog / Mixed. Meet Chicken! Chicken is a Catahoula mix youngster, around three years old and weighs about 55lbs. She would be a great family dog for people with children over 10 years of age (she's a little rambunctious) who like to get out & do things. She will need daily exercise, so if you are a runner or a hiker this is your girl, but she also enjoys settling down and lounging on the couch. This girl loves to play with her foster siblings, and seems to really enjoy the company of dogs that like to play hard, but also has a healthy respect for dogs that just aren't into the hard playing. Chicken has lots of play mates at her foster home that she enjoys chewing on and wrestling with! Due to her prey drive, she is not suitable for a home with small pets, though she has done well with small dogs in her foster home, it just takes her a little longer to acclimate to the small ones. Chicken has lots of fun energy, but she knows how to calm down and relax when it is time. She likes swimming in the lake (on her leash), especially nice since she has webbed feet! She is loyal & protective of her family and is a great watchdog. Catahoulas have strong voices & Chicken is no exception. Because of this, Chicken would not be a dog for someone living in an apartment. Since Catahoula dogs are highly intelligent and independent, they need firm, patient, consistent training. She is potty trained (she rings a bell to go outside), house trained, and knows her common commands. Chicken is spayed, up-to-date on vaccinations, microchipped, has been dewormed, and is current on her monthly heartworm and flea/tick preventatives. Her adoption fee is $275. If you are interested in adopting her, please submit an application using this link: .secondchancenc/adopt-a-pet/dog-adoption-application/?src=sidebar. If you would like more info about Chicken, please e-mail the Dog Program Manager at laurasecondhcancenc. Thank you!

The SPCA has an adoption counseling process for adopters to learn adoption guidelines and adoption options. Hi! I''m Rivers and I am so excited to meet you. I''m a dog who thinks like a cat, so no need to look at those feline companion options with me! I like to sit up high and I dislike loud noises. I just prefer the easy life and am happiest when you are home with me. I get nervous when my human friends aren''t around, but can you blame me? I just worry that I will never see you again! I''d benefit from plenty of walks to burn off some energy, playtime out in the yard to keep my mind stimulated, and maybe even some training classes for opportunities to learn my best dog manners! Most of all, I''d love a human friend to do all of these things with. Could you be the one? I''m full grown at ~29 lbs. ~My adoption fee is $95.00.~ Cats? No. Dogs? Selective. Children? I do best with older kids. Housetrained? Yes. Training Needs? I know sit and stay but let''s keep learning! How did I get here?
