    Icey 822

    verified

    rescue
    Breed: Golden Retriever
    Sex: Female Female
    Age: Adult
    Location: USA
Posted Breed: Golden Retriever (long coat). Icey and Tundra are a bonded pair that will only be adopted together. The girls are 4 and 5 and extremely shy, but no aggression at all. Good with dogs and cats, but will try to flee out of fear. Because of their shyness, we are not adopting them to families with children. They need a calm, quiet home that can reassure them. They also have to have a fenced yard.

    Rogue

    verified

    rescue
    Breed: Golden Retriever
    Sex: Male Male
    Age: Young
    Location: USA
Posted Breed: Golden Retriever. Rogue and his 4 siblings were only 5 months old when they were found as strays. Someone dumped them on a road and it took our volunteers 3 hours to catch them with humane traps. The poor puppies were afraid of the people who were trying to help them. They obviously had not been loved or taken care of properly. They were infested with ticks so badly that their lymph nodes had swollen due to infection and they also had hookworms and whip-worms. All 5 puppies were starving and in sad shape. We asked volunteers to come to the shelter to spend time with these sweet babies and help socialize them, and they are all getting better. Their date of birth is 3/3/2017. Rogue weighed about 28lbs. at the time he was rescued. Rogue has been neutered, is microchipped, up to date on vaccines, and has been on heartworm and flea/tick prevention. He comes with a 30 day pet health guarantee. The adoption fee is $95 with an approved application. You can submit an application online at .fayettefcar.For more information about this animal and other please visit our website at fayettefcar or contact us at 901/854-2565. Natalie *SOO...

    verified

    rescue
    Breed: Golden Retriever
    Sex: Female Female
    Age: Senior
    Location: USA
Posted Breed: Golden Retriever / Shepherd. Natalie is an 11 year old mixed breed with a sweet, loving personality. She was returned due to no fault of her own after living with her family for ten years. She is understandably stressed but very sweet and tolerant of all the changes in her life. She has lived with kids and dogs in the past but we were told that she chases cats. Natalie is reportedly house trained in her previous home. She is looking for a special family who will let her live out her golden years in comfort and surrounded by the love and care she deserves. We do not have a facility for you to visit. WE PROCESS APPLICANTS AND SET APPOINTMENTS BASED ON THE ORDER APPLICATIONS ARE RECEIVED , so while you are welcome to call (248) 834-9419 or email ccrcdogsccrcdogs with specific questions, you will want to complete the ONLINE APPLICATION ASAP , which can be found at .ccrcdogs, to secure your position in line for one of our dogs. You can also find a description of our process on that same page. Puppies will not be available to be seen until their 10 day quarantine has passed. Our adoption fee is $200 for adults and $275 for puppies, which covers the cost of the spay/neuter, age appropriate shots and tests, medications to bring the dog to full health, and a free visit with one of our approved vets after adoption. The majority of dogs at CCRC are obtained from animal control centers, so there is often very little known about their history or even current habits. You can always expect to do some training, regardless of whether you adopt a dog or a puppy, including crate training, house training, and basic manners. CCRC provides a variety of materials and resources to assist you with this, as well as telephone support.

    Gino

    verified

    rescue
    Breed: Golden Retriever
    Sex: Male Male
    Age: Senior
    Location: USA
Posted Breed: Golden Retriever. Gino could easily be mistaken for a puppy because of his size and his spunkiness - he is always in happy mode with his tail wagging a million miles a minute! Gino has bursts of energy, but he's generally a mellow pup who loves cuddling with you on the couch, getting belly rubs and neck scratches. As much as he enjoys chilling with his people, Gino's also up for a good game of chase. And if you're looking for a walking buddy, grab your leash because Gino's always ready to roll! He does wonderfully on leash and enjoys checking out the sights and smells, and nothing you encounter along the way will faze him in the slightest. Gino is also fully house-trained, and while he's not a fan of being crated, he doesn't need to be because has impeccable manners in the home. Gino is in APA!'s Total Obedience Program, working on perfecting his other behaviors. The Total Obedience Program (TOP) is modeled after the AKC's Canine Good Citizen (CGC) test. As a TOP dog, Gino has a personalized training plan and works with a volunteer trainer several times a week to help him learn the skills to become the best dog he can be! Gino is learning skills like down, sitting calmly when approached by strangers or other dogs, staying in a sit or down until told "free," coming when called and "Place, which means he will go to a specific place in your home on command. Once he successfully completes all the skills on his training plan, Gino will be considered TOP Dog Ready! He is working hard to become a wonderful companion, and as a part of APA's Total Obedience Program, you can work with APA staff to continue to build a training relationship with Gino after adoption and master all the TOP dog skills together. Check out a video on APA's CGC program, on which the TOP was based: vimeo/89434193 If your ideal evening is a nice long stroll followed by a quiet night in watching Netflix, Gino will be thrilled to meet you!

    Woody #0719

    verified

    rescue
    Breed: Golden Retriever
    Sex: Male Male
    Age: Adult
    Location: USA
Posted Breed: Golden Retriever (long coat). Woody - Male – 6-years-old – GRRALL #0719 Woody Update 10/22/2018: Woody had a vet check-up this past weekend which went very well! His eyes have cleared most of the infection, and he will stay on eye meds for another month to be safe. The vet says Woody's skin is doing wonderfully and will heal well over the next 8-12 weeks or so. He has also now been cleared to be neutered. Woody has also gained weight, bringing him closer to a healthy range, and now weighs 62 pounds! Woody has settled into his foster home and his true personality is beginning to shine! It's clear to his foster mom that he is starting to feel much better since his rescue! Woody's fur is starting to return, leaving him velvety soft like a puppy. Speaking of which, Woody has given GRRALL reason to believe he may be much younger than the original guestimate of 6 years old. The vet will provide another estimate in a few more weeks regarding his age, but Woody has begun to display puppy-like mannerisms and run around the house when he catches "the zoomies". The deplorable condition in which Woody was found makes it difficult to determine his proper age until he has thoroughly recovered. Woody is surprisingly 100% house-trained, and knows to stand near the front door when he needs to go outside to potty. He is working on learning his commands but is a smart boy and should pick them up quickly. Woody does well with other dogs and shows signs of wanting to play with his foster sister, a mid-size lab. He also seems to follow the guidance of his foster sister and will take interest in what she does. For example, Mom gave both dogs the exact same new toy at the same time, but Woody seemed more curious in watching what his foster sister did with the toy than in playing with his toy himself. Woody also loves to play bite his foster mom and has been lovingly nicknamed "shark boy". He's shown limited interest in toys, but is starting to understand they are his to play with. He picked up a stuffed squeaky frog for the first time this past weekend and carried it with him around the house. He also absolutely loves rawhide bones and will hide them for himself to find later if he isn't in the mood to chew at the moment. Overall Woody is an adorable fellow with a heart of gold. We'll provide another update on sweet Woody in the coming weeks! ### Woody Update 10/8/2018: Woody just moved into his foster home and is doing FANTASTIC! He is just so thrilled with the car and the attention and his foster bro and foster Mom and full belly and less itchies. Woody still has a long way to go but we are just thrilled with his progress. ### Woody Update 9/23/2018: Woody is doing great, thanks in part to his support team of GRRALL friends! Woody is still at the vet recovering but we are making sure he has lots of visitors and knows he is now loved, forever. At first Woody seemed unsure of the attention but quickly got the hang of it and came up to the volunteer to smell her face and lean up against her with his head. He now understands treats, toys, bones, and his new nickname of “Prince Woody”. He especially loves the naked Chick-fil-A nuggets and Nylabones! Such a short time can make such a huge difference in a dog’s life and recovery. We are grateful to have such fantastic volunteers and donors so we are able to help Woody become the dog he was meant to be. ### Woody was rescued today; our Transport Angel Tricia shed tears of relief and joy knowing he is now safe and on his way to a wonderful life. Woody was loose on the streets for at least two weeks, but based on his skin and other infections he wasn’t cared for or fed properly in quite some time, maybe never. Woody was terrified in the shelter and had to be carried to the car as he was too afraid to walk. He was sweet and loving, not dog reactive, but petrified. Our GRRALL Transport Angel dropped everything and rushed to the shelter to save Woody and bring him to our vet. Luck was finally in Woody’s favor. he was treated immediately and started on pain and other medicines, as well as fed a good meal. Amazing but he is heartworm negative. Woody will remain at the vet for several weeks and when he is healthy enough will be moved to a foster home to continue his treatment and recovery. If you are interested fostering or adopting Woody or any GRRALL dog, please submit an application at grralliance/applications/adoption-application/ GRRALL serves the Dallas-Fort Worth/North Texas area. We do not have the resources to adopt outside this region and do not ship dogs. If you are outside our adoption area please contact your local Golden Retriever Rescue, local independent adoption groups, shelters, humane society, or other group to find your perfect forever friend.

    Dottie #0691...

    Breed: Golden Retriever
    Sex: Female Female
    Age: Senior
    Location: USA
Posted Breed: Golden Retriever (long coat). Dottie – Female – 9 years old – GRRALL #691 Please take a minute to support Dottie and her medical needs, or visit her wishlist- there are plenty of things to choose from to help brighten her day. Dottie needs your help to feel like the queen that she is. poundwishes/ donate/2861466/dottie Update 6/21/18: Dottie’s temporary foster home could not part with her so they are now fostering her. She is cat friendly and the sweetest gal despite all the skin issues she has. She had a vet check up this week. She still needs medicated baths twice a week. She is such a loving girl. Stay tuned to watch her progress. ### Update 6/10/2018: Dottie is in a temporary foster home now, and already doing better! ### Meet beautiful Dottie! GRRALL was contacted by a vet tech about a sweet senior Golden whose owner decided to have her euthanized because she could not afford the allergy testing and care her dog so badly needed. Thankfully, the amazing vet tech worked with the owner to surrender the dog so Dottie could receive care and have a second chance. Our dedicated volunteers dropped everything and sprang into action immediately to bring Dottie to GRRALL. Dottie is 9 years old and has endured so much pain and discomfort from lack of care; terrible skin condition and inflammation; massive ear infections caused by untreated allergies, used for breeding, and is heartworm positive. The heartworm condition is especially sad as preventable with a simple prescription injection or monthly pill. We are heartbroken for Dottie as she now has to endure months of heartworm treatment in addition to all her other medical treatments. Dottie has a long road ahead of her. She has already started treatment; drugs, medicated baths, and prescription food to begin the healing process. When Dottie is stable she will move into a foster home where she will be spoiled and continue to receive regular medicated baths. Once Dottie is healthy enough and starting to feel better, after many vet and allergy specialist visits, she will start on her heartworm treatment. Beyond sad and heartbreaking but Dottie will not be alone will have the entire GRRALL team and supporters with her every step of the way. Dottie is a loving, sweet girl, with an incredibly gentle personality. She is already gorgeous in our eyes, but will be stunning once healthy. The vet staff said she has a great appetite in spite of everything else she is going through. She is your typical Golden gal on the inside, but she needs your help to feel like the Golden gal she should be on the outside too! We will keep everyone updated on her progress. Please take a minute to support Dottie and her medical needs, or visit her wishlist- there are plenty of things to choose from to help brighten her day. Dottie needs your help to feel like the queen that she is. poundwishes/donate/2861466/dottie If you are interested in Dottie or any GRRALL dog, please submit an application atgrralliance/applications/adoption-application/

Posted Breed: Golden Retriever / Husky (medium coat). Zani's al fresco Summer Adoptions follow us on FB to find us this summer as we will try new locations to meet the needs of NYC and support the little stores:) Roy, 1.5y 44lbs, is a super star! This Russian Golden Retriever Husky mix is just what we need for the incoming weather:) He is arriving from Moscow mid November hopefully in time for Thanksgiving. He is healthy, fully vaccinated, a sweet, affectionate boy who is good with people, dogs and ignores cats! We think his ideal home is one w/ a lot of activity due to his breed mix and experience with the breeds. Please apply now so he can go to his furever home in time for the holidays. Facebook: Zani's Furry Friends ZFF (weekly adoption event info posted there) Twitter: zanisff Instagram: zanisfurryfriends Please go to our site zanisfurryfriends fill out an application and return to dogszanisfurryfriends Many of us (cats/dogs) will be on display on on Sundays and sometimes on Saturdays--please ask by writing us at dogszanisfurryfriends and following us on FB. If you are seriously interested in adopting one of us in particular, please fill out an application by Friday so that we can be sure to be there. Otherwise we decide based on other variables. Usually we are in our foster homes so this is a bit more stressful and a slightly artificial environment but we do want to be seen and find our furever homes too. Please consider providing a home for more than one dog, especially if you are considering adopting a puppy. Dogs are pack animals and very much enjoy as well as need other dog company to learn to play, socialize and be good companion animals to people. The upside to this is that you won't feel as guilty leaving them alone and you get twice the love. Please come! And if you can't adopt, maybe you can foster or volunteer, and you can always donate! If you want to know about cats/dogs specifically being shown at our adoption locations, please email us catszanisfurryfriends closer to the date so we know your interest and will make every effort to have that pet at the event or let you know how and where you can meet. It is extemely helpful and speeds up adoption if the application is filled out prior to visiting us so please do that before coming to our weekend events. Our weekend locations are: Sundays usually and some Saturdays. Follow us on FB for latest updates. Usually we are in our foster homes so all this is a bit more stressful but we do want to be seen and find our furever homes. Please come! And if you can't adopt, maybe you can foster. And you can always donate:) Cats and Dogs are spayed/neutered, UTD w/ all age appropriate shots and microchipped. Cats are feline combo tested for FIV/FeLV; dogs are heartworm tested and rabies vax'd, (NOT lyme vaxed but we seriously recommend it); rabbits are spayed/neutered. Please fill out an application and email to: For Cats: catszanisfurryfriends For Dogs: dogszanisfurryfriends For Rabbits: nyc.acc.rabbitsgmail. Please visit our website zanisfurryfriends.
