Labrador, Lab

Labradoodle
The Labradoodle is a mix between the Labrador Retriever and the Poodle. Both breeds are excellent for children and families. The Labradoodle became known in 1988, when Australian breeder Wally Conron crossed the Labrador Retriever and Standard Poodle at the Royal Guide Dogs Associations of Australia in Victoria. Conron's aim was to combine the low-shedding coat of the Poodle with the gentleness and trainability of the Labrador, and to provide a guide dog suitable for people with allergies to fur and dander. Sultan, a dog from this litter, displayed all the qualities Conron was seeking and worked as a guide dog for a woman in Hawaii for ten years. Although Guide Dogs Victoria no longer breed Labradoodles, they are bred by other guide and assistance dog organizations in Australia and other places. The Association for the Blind of Western Australia has introduced Labradoodles into their training program, and their first, Jonnie, graduated in November 2010. Labradoodles are now widely used around the world as guide, assistance, and therapy dogs as well as being popular family dogs. The Norwegian Royal Crown Prince and Princess own a Labradoodle.

The Golden Retriever has a great personality and is easy to train, making this one of America's favorite family pets. They are good hunting companions and also great with kids.

The Boxer is surprisingly good with children. This breed has a playful nature, yet is patient and intelligent. With early training, a Boxer can provide a strong and watchful companion to all family members.
Shih Tzu
Chinese Lion Dog, Chrysanthemum Dog, Shih-Tzu
The Shih Tzu is a sweet and playful family companion. He's bolder than his small size suggests, but gets along well with strangers and other animals.
Alaskan Husky-Poodle (Standard)
This breed is a cross between an Poodle (Standard) and a Alaskan Husky. This breed is a hybrid or designer breed that was developed by crossing Poodle (Standard) and a Alaskan Husky. Though the breed was intended to be a 50/50 mix, many of the it are bred over many generations and may not always be 50% and 50%. The best way to determine the temperament of a mixed breed is to look up all breeds in the cross and know you can get any combination of any of the characteristics found in either breed. We currently do not have more detailed information for this breed.
