    Grady

    verified

    rescue
    Breed: Australian Shepherd
    Sex: Male Male
    Age: Senior
    Location: USA
Posted Breed: Australian Shepherd / Border Collie. Adoption Fee: 200.00. All of the animals posted on our site have been temperament tested. While not all are in the immediate area, once we have processed and approved your application, we will move the dog to our adoptive area for you to meet, greet and hopefully adopt. Sometimes we will have more than one application on a dog. That does not mean it automatically goes to another family but you should be aware of the fact that until you are approved and set up for the meet/greet.. the dog could get adopted by another applicant. Grady was pulled from a shelter where he found himself after his owner passed away. When he was first pulled, he was stunned, not knowing what had happened to his person and his home. Within just a few days of one on one, he morphed back into the perfect dog, the way he has been all his life. Excited and happy to see his foster - tail wagging, but no rude behavior. He walks nicely on a leash and rides well in a car. He has not made a sound since he's been there. He seems to love the dog bed in his room. He's a really good, sweet, calm and gentle boy. Anybody would love him. He also appears to be house trained. Gives little licks now and seeks out attention - gently. He has been great with cats, and all dogs - big or small. Wouldn't hurt a fly. Now he jumps in his fosters car when it is time for a ride and rides - untethered and quietly in the back seat. He loves to go for leash walks, and he is eating well. He's not a ravenous eater and his foster is giving him all sorts of good stuff so his weight will get back on and he is loving that. He had been grieving and not eating. His foster said he is a dream dog and if she didn't have a full house...he'd be staying there. This sweet boy is ready for his forever home. He has had all his shots and he is ready to go! NOTE: Since we at RORR have had him we have discovered that he is sweet but scared new people especially kids. Housebroken and crate trained. Super sweet and gentle to me and my senior dog. Can be frightened by cars going by and strollers seem to scare him. He seems scared of cats. UPDATE: We are asking for a fenced yard for Grady. His foster says: "He is asking fenced back yard and if it possible another friendly dog. He loves loves loves free run in a back yard. It makes him so happy." If you are interested in Grady, please contact: rorrcanine@gmail.com *** Click here to sponsor this dog! ***

I’m Gannon. I am a 15-pound Mini Aussie puppy!!!! I am a very loving pup! I am smart and payfull and I love my hoomans. I will follow my people all around. Well, unless there is another dog to play with. If there is, then I’m doing that! I am a bit shy when meeting new people but warm up quickly. My personality really shines at the dog park where I get to meet lots of new dog and hooman friends!!! I just love going to the dog park! It is amazing! I also like to chew on bones and chase tennis balls. I’m not very food motivated, but I do eat twice a day and sometimes I will take treats, but not often. I am potty trained! I also do very well on a leash for walkies, so although a fenced in yard would be fun, it isn’t necessary. I also know “sit” and “go potty”! Isn’t that cool? I’m learning so very much! I mostly get to roam free in my foster home and I do well, but my foster mom said I’d also probably do okay in a crate. She says I am very praise motivated and I learn quickly! I have only met one kittie. I think it went well, although I mostly ignored her! I haven’t really spent time with children, so I’m not sure how that would go. I am, however, good with dogs of all shapes and sizes! So, it might be super awesome if you have another doggie in your home so I can have a brother or sister! Don’t forget—I love to play with doggies! I tend to bark if I’m alarmed but otherwise am fairly quiet. I am a very affectionate fellow who just loves loves loves following my people around. Playing with toys and the dog park are also top on list of favorites. (Yeah, I know I already said that but it is so important, I thought it was a good idea to say it again!). I also like to play a fun hide and seek game where I take things that have been left out such as shoes or clothing and then I try to hide them around the house! It’s so fun! As you can see, I’m quite the catch! If you think I might be for you it’d be fun to meet you. This puppy requires an application fee. He’s an 8 month old 9 lb Toy Aussie. Aussies are super smart, loyal dogs. Jordan is no exception; he is blossoming into a curious and confident dog. He has learned how to do stairs and he is so proud of himself! His puppy antics include being a chewer of cords, so beware. He has lots of bully sticks and other chew toys to help occupy him. He enjoys being held and getting belly rubs too. He loves to be outside. On these nice sunny days, he carries his toys out one by one. When he thinks no one is looking he buries them under leaves and sticks. When he has a plan in mind, he even tries to distract the humans so they don’t know what he’s up to. Eventually he digs the toys up and carries them around to another spot. He is 99% potty trained. He goes into a puppy pen when his foster family is gone for a while. He will cry a bit, but then he settles down. He is working on walking on a leash, not getting carsick, and the commands “sit” and “outside”. He is enjoying the freedom of a fenced yard too much to not have that as an everyday option. He does great with all dogs but has not met any cats yet. He thinks a 4 legged playmate would be fantastic. He will bark at strangers outside the home. He has learned that humans can be trusted. He is a sweet adorable guy who is developing into an awesome lifelong companion. Could you be the human that he needs to take him to the next level? This puppy requires an application fee. She is about 5.5 years old and 5o pounds. Bernice is so sweet and very shy. She comes out of her shell most when she's around her foster siblings. She really enjoys the outdoors. Her favorite thing to do is run in the snow! She enjoys playing with her foster siblings and is learning so much every day. She is adjusting to people and is unsure about most hoomans right now, including children. She would love a calm home without children that will help her adjust to new sounds, people, and environments. Her doggo skills are coming along and she is very close to being housetrained! She hasn't quite mastered the leash yet, so a fenced yard is a must for her right now. Bernice is a quiet pup and simply wants a life of love. Can you be the one to give her that?! Many of our dogs are rescued from commercial breeders where they spent their lives getting comfort from their canine friends. In turn, most require another companion dog in their forever home in order for them to feel safe. My name is Burton. I am an Aussie who is about 1 year old. I’m a little shy but in 2 Days at my temporary foster home I have made great strides! My friend Norman the Great Dane is helping me to gain some confidence, so another dog in the house is a must. When I first got here I froze if they put a leash on me, even if nobody was holding it! But thanks to my pals encouragement I now walk over every square inch of the yard dragging it with me! It’s not so bad, sometimes my pal steps on it and stops me in my tracks but I’m not panicking anymore! I’m such a brave boy! I will definitely need a fenced in yard to so I can continue getting used to the leash while I’m still being safe. My foster mom says that I have the cutest butt wiggle she’s ever seen! She also says that I can be taught some pretty cute tricks with just a little bit of work! I already stand very steady on my back legs and paw at the air towards you for attention! I am also food motivated so tricks will be a breeze for me! I just need to know what you’d like me to do! I am so eager to make you happy! I am currently recovering from my neuter surgery so they’ve been limiting my play time. I have to go in the kennel sometimes, and while I don’t walk right in there, (I need a little push on my bum) I don’t make a peep while I’m in there! I also haven’t been pottying in there, even overnight, which my foster mom says makes me the best boy ever! My foster mom is cautious, so even though I haven’t tried to pee on anything, she’s been putting this belly band thing on me just in case. But it’s ok, I calmly let her put it on and off and that lets me wander all over the house with it on. I’m still a little scared of loud noises and sudden movements and need to continue to work on my confidence, but if you’re looking for the sweetest little Aussie ever then I think that’s ME! Many of our dogs are rescued from commercial breeders where they spent their lives getting comfort from their canine friends. In turn, most require another companion dog in their forever home in order for them to feel safe. If you are interested in a particular dog, and do not currently have a dog residing with you, please understand that your home might not be the right fit for many of our dogs. ***Be sure to check your spam/junk folder as sometimes our emails end up there*** ADOPTION EVENTS: Adoption events are updated as the foster home RSVP's to attend. Check back for updates on which events they will be attending. Please understand that all of our pets are in volunteer foster homes and sometimes "life" happens and the foster family cannot make it to their scheduled adoption event. If you are traveling from a far distance to meet a specific animal, please understand we cannot guarantee event attendance. You may wish to consider applying and setting up a private appointment. Private appointments are only scheduled after an application is submitted and approved. ADOPTION PROCEDURE: The first step in our process is to complete an online adoption application on our website: http://www.underdogrescuemn.com/adoptionprocess/ Note: In most circumstances Underdog Rescue will only adopt within 60 miles of Minneapolis, MN. All of our foster animals can be seen by appointment with an approved adoption application. Contact us at http://www.underdogrescuemn.com/contact-us/ if you have further questions. FOSTER CARE: All of our animals are fostered in individual homes or doggie daycare facilities. While they are in our care, they are part of our families and given lots of love. We work on training, crate-training and socialization prior to adoption. Each animal's behavior is evaluated and we have a sense of its temperament and personality. We look for adopters who will give each animal the wonderful life and permanent home that he or she deserves. If you have an interest and ability to be a foster home, please visit our website www.underdogrescuemn.com/foster-applications and fill out a foster application. NUTRITION: Nutrition is vital to the rehabilitation and life-long health of our pets. All of our foster animals are fed a premium diet such as NutriSource, Canidae, Orijen, Nature's Variety, Fromm, Pure Vita, Stella and Chewy's, Primal, or balanced raw diet. All adopters are required to continue providing premium diets for the life of the animal. YOU CAN HELP: Not able to foster or adopt right now? Please consider sponsoring an Underdog. Your donation will help us buy dog food and pay for medical costs. Visit this link www.underdogrescuemn.com/donate to donate. (Please note: A Paypal account is not necessary to use Paypal.
