Kai is a great dog in a difficult location. Kai is a young healthy and handsome purebred black and tan German Sheepherd dog for private adoption in San Jose, CA. He is a big boy at 75 pounds, and is just 18 months old. Kai is neutered, micro-chipped, fully vaccinated, house Broken, leash trained and obedience trained. Kai’s owner loves him very much. She is devastated to have to find him a loving new home. Unfortunately, she is not able to give him the environment that he needs and deserves. Kai needs a family who owns their own home with a large, securely fenced yard. Right now, Kai's home and landlord situation is not good for a larger active dog. Kai can be shy at first, but once he is comfortable with you, there is no more devoted a dog. Kai is good with children and gets along very well with other dogs. He is a young dog, and needs space and activity to keep him happy and healthy. Kai will be rehomed with all supplies and veterinary records. Please offer this amazing German Shepherd dog the loving home he needs and deserves today. A beautiful German Shepherd dog like Kai is not easy to find, and we are confident that a good owner with room for Kai to enjoy will be found soon. Questions about Kai?? Text “Kai” to (888) 833-2128 or email AdoptKaidog-lover.us There is a $150 adoption/rehoming fee. Some supplies and veterinary records will be included.

More About German Shepherd Dog Breed
If you’re looking to adopt a dog and don’t know where to start, puppyfinder.com is an excellent source for information about adopting a dog and will connect you with hundreds of shelters across the US that have adoptable puppies and older dogs waiting for forever homes.
  1. Do your research – find out what types of dogs would be a good fit for your lifestyle and the activity level of your family. Also keep in mind the grooming needs of certain breeds that might require frequent maintenance.
  2. Decide what you can handle – before you get sucked in by all the adorable puppy eyes you’re about to see, think long and hard about the appropriate age dog for your family or if you are capable of caring for a special needs dog. Puppies are a lot of work, if you don’t have time for potty training and obedience classes you’ll want to consider an older dog. There are plenty of middle aged, vibrant dogs up for adoption as well as many senior dogs that would be a great fit for a family looking for a more subdued dog with lots of love to give.
  3. Learn about the shelters and their adoption policies – It might be easier to start looking at shelters within a certain radius of home but don’t be afraid to venture out to other states as well. Many states have larger populations of adoptable dogs and their shelters are willing to transport pets to suitable adopting families. Some shelters might have requirements for a home visit, a fenced yard or require you to visit the pet multiple times before you commit to adopting. Understand that the shelters are doing their best to place the pets in suitable homes and these requirements are in the best interest of both you and the pet.
  4. Start looking… Once you know what you’re looking for and what to expect you can start your search through thousands of adoptable dogs. PuppyFinder allows you to search by age, breed, location and gender.
  5. Meet in person. Whenever possible it is best to meet the animal in person before agreeing to bring them into your life. Even though photos and descriptions can tell you a bit about a dog, you can’t get a true feeling for the animal until you are able to interact with them and make sure they are a good fit for your entire family, including other pets.

Copper is a Black and Tan Female Hound Mix Dog for adoption to a very loving home in or near MISSOURI CITY TX. This very special Dog is 8 months and weighs 85 lbs. Found as a stray, she will become aggressive around other dogs and still has puppy energy. Copper is being placed for adoption by owner for the following reason: She has attacked our other dog a few times now. We took her in as a stray about 6 months ago and have tried everything. We now need to keep them separated and are just unwilling to live like this for the next 10 years. She's going to make a great dog for a ONE DOG family. She's house-trained, up to date on shots, spayed, and chipped. I love this dog, but clearly she's triggered by our other dog. The hubby took her to the dog park this morning and she was not impressed. She loves people, but not other dogs. She has never displayed one bit of aggression toward people. There is a $75 adoption/rehoming fee. Supplies and veterinary records will be included. Questions about Copper? Contact our Texas dog rehoming team. Text COPPER to (888) 833-2128 or email adoptcopperdog-lover.us. We look forward to hearing from you.

Duke is a male Weimaraner Lab mix dog for adoption to a very loving home in or near Austin Texas. This very special dog is 6 and weighs 68 lbs. He is neutered, up to date on shots, and house trained. Duke is in excellent health. Duke is very intelligent and eager to please his owner. He likes activity, and enjoys a very long walk every day. Duke has had extensive obedience training and has good manners. Duke is not the dog for everyone. He is best suited to a quiet home without other dogs, and with adults-only, or respectful older children. Duke has some anxiety with strangers, and needs to be properly introduced. He is not good with dogs his size or bigger, so he is not a dog-park dog. Duke’s owner had to leave the country, intending to return in a few weeks. Unfortunately, due to circumstances beyond his control, he is unable to return to the US. Duke’s foster owner is not able to keep him due to aggression between Duke and his other two dogs. He is hoping to find Duke the right situation – an “only dog” home with adults or a family with older children (12 and up). Duke needs a large, securely fenced yard, and owners who can give him the time, attention, exercise and care he needs and deserves. There is a $150 adoption/rehoming fee. Breed: Boxador
      Sex: Male Male

Tito is a charismatic Boxer-Lab retriever mix dog to adopt in Kirkland Washinton. His white coat and dark eyes are distinctive, with just enough pink so that he doesn't completely vanish in the fog or snow. He is a great companion and big brother for kids, but he has some agression issues around other dogs. Saddly the owners have a toddler and another dog, and they worry that the two dogs could get carried away and scare the child. "Tito" really needs to be an only pet, with his own people and no worries about other dogs or animals challenging his spot. He'd be perfect for a family with older kids, or an "empty nest" home with no other pets and lots of time to share with Tito. He truly is a kind-hearted dog when it comes to kids and strangers, but down deep, he just can't relax around other dogs. Are you the one to offer Tito the perfect home? Can you just imagine those funny pointy ears coming over to get some scratches and rubs? He'd be a wonderful addition to a lot of homes where the owners want just one really good devoted dog. His only health issue is a little bit of itchiness. We stick to Natures Recipe Grain Free food–we have found that eliminating grain from his diet helps that. We've tried many varieties of grain free food and he likes them all. More than anything, his owner wants to ensure that this special dog is put into a loving home with people who can remove the stress of living with other dogs. There is a $100 adoption/rehoming fee. Some supplies and veterinary records will be included. Questions about Tito?? Text “Tito” to (888) 833-2128 or email Adopt Titopet-lover.us
