Clifford and Cocoa are both extremely obedient and affectionate. They are also very loving and patient with our children. They both love any type of water activity from splashing in the creek to swimming in the pool to chasing waves on the beach. Clifford and Cocoa love to hike, swim, follow us on horseback or just snuggle up for a movie on the couch.....wherever we are that is where they want to be. Parent dogs are DNA health tested and clear of any health issues. They are registered AKC,CKC, NAPR, & IDCR. Cocoa is an American Lab from hunting and field trial lines. Clifford also has a strong obedience line in his background.
Cocoa is such a wonderful Mama! She is very loving and nurturing with her pups as well as our children....There is also a funny story associated with Cocoa's great mothering instincts....When the pups were 2 weeks old, Cocoa went out to potty and returned with a lost baby opossum. She tried to add the baby opossum to her litter and mothered it as her own.

At Christmas the kids had all sorts of animal and elf themed onesies . Clifford was very concerned about them at first. He really loves the kids and is very watchful over them. Once he figured out the elves had not overtaken the children, it did not take him long to relax and enjoy the day.

Overview:
The Labradoodle is a mix between the Labrador Retriever and the Poodle. Both breeds are excellent for children and families. The Labradoodle became known in 1988, when Australian breeder Wally Conron crossed the Labrador Retriever and Standard Poodle at the Royal Guide Dogs Associations of Australia in Victoria. Conron's aim was to combine the low-shedding coat of the Poodle with the gentleness and trainability of the Labrador, and to provide a guide dog suitable for people with allergies to fur and dander. Sultan, a dog from this litter, displayed all the qualities Conron was seeking and worked as a guide dog for a woman in Hawaii for ten years. Although Guide Dogs Victoria no longer breed Labradoodles, they are bred by other guide and assistance dog organizations in Australia and other places. The Association for the Blind of Western Australia has introduced Labradoodles into their training program, and their first, Jonnie, graduated in November 2010. Labradoodles are now widely used around the world as guide, assistance, and therapy dogs as well as being popular family dogs. The Norwegian Royal Crown Prince and Princess own a Labradoodle.
