Breed: German Shepherd Dog-Labrador Retriever Mix
    Sex: Male Male
    Age: Adult
    Location: USA
Nala & Simba are a male and female pair of German Shepherd Labrador Retriever Mix Dogs for private adoption to a very loving home in or near Raleigh NC. These very special dogs are 5 years old (March 2013) and weigh about 55 pounds. Both dogs are fixed, up to date on shots and very healthy. They are house trained and well behaved. Simba and Nala love people and are very good with children. They are calm, playful, affectionate and devoted – the perfect family dogs. Nala and Simba’s owners have raised them with love since they were puppies. They have see both dogs mature into confident, wonderful dogs that would be a good addition to almost any home. Unfortunately, with raising small children and working long hours, it is difficult to find the time to give Simba and Nala the exercise and care they deserve. The family will soon be moving to a different home, and there is not enough space either indoors – or outdoors for the dogs to be happy and healthy. The family is heartbroken to have to rehome Nala and Simba, but are hopeful that the dogs can be placed in the ideal home – with a family that has lots of time for them, and who owns their own home with a large, securely fenced yard. Nala and Simba will be rehomed with all supplies and vet records. All you need to add is love, a great home environment for them, and the time to give them the care, attention and exercise they deserve. There is a $200 adoption/rehoming fee to adopt both dogs together. Supplies and vet records will be included. Contact our Raleigh dog rehoming team. Text NalaSimba to (888) 833-2128, call (888) 720-3322 or email NalaSimbadog-lover.us. We look forward to hearing from you.

Posted Breed: German Shepherd Dog (medium coat). If you're interested in adopting any SGSR dog, please read about our Adoption Process and fill out an Adoption Application. Visit our website for more information, including Frequently Asked Questions. My name is Sugar. I got my name because when I was originally rescued at age 1, the volunteers said my disposition was as sweet as sugar. My family agreed and thus, the name Sugar stayed. I am a beautiful, 3 year-old, black and silver German Shepherd. 3 is a great age for shepherds as they are still young and playful but also content to chill out with their family. Like most German Shepherds, I want to be with my people. I live with 2 small humans that let me sleep on their bed with them which is wonderful. I'm also happy to chill by my foster mom on the floor by her bed as the big humans don't let me on the furniture. I am a working dog and thus, love being worked - whether that work is learning a new skill or going for a walk. I love to play chase whether it's a ball or another active dog to whom I've been properly introduced. My humans say I seem to have a prey drive but I will respond to commands while walking - although I wish they'd let me have fun racing a squirrel or two. I live with another dog and sometimes we foster puppies. He tends to ignore them but I love letting them crawl over me and am very tolerant of their puppy tendencies. I've lived with another dog for the last 2 years and we are used to sharing toys, food and people. I will tend to wiggle my nose into your arm if I feel another dog is getting my share of the love to remind you that I crave it too. Once you acknowledge me, I am content to lay down. People say that I am a very smart dog and want to show it. The more consistency in working with me on the commands, the happier that I am because I like pleasing my people - and earning some treats as that is a big motivator for me. Speaking of people, I love them, especially my people. I love the people in my house and anyone that else that I see they welcome into their home. I love my people so much and feel that it's my job to protect them. They say it is best for me to be kept in "place" until I see that my family is ok with visitors. For that reason, I would be a great fit for a person or family that does not have a revolving door of daily guests. If you want a loyal, smart and loving companion, please come meet me. Who doesn't need a little extra Sugar in their life? I am being fostered in Fort Mill, SC. If you live in NC, MD or VA and would like to make Sugar a part of your family please contact your adoption coordinator. If you are not yet approved please complete an adoption application at our website .southeastgermanshepherdrescue. Our adoption process consists of a telephone interview, a call to your veterinarian and a home visit. If you have any questions about the adoption process please contact sgsrescuegmail .

Posted Breed: German Shepherd Dog (medium coat). If you're interested in adopting any SGSR dog, please read about our Adoption Process and fill out an Adoption Application. Visit our website for more information, including Frequently Asked Questions. "Say hello to Moses, a 7.5 year old, very sweet and laid back German Shepherd. He’s a big handsome boy, who weighs about 90lbs. Moses is very social, yet relaxed around people and other dogs and is well mannered when anyone new visits the house. He has never jumped up to say hello, but might try to steal a seat next to you on the couch. He has gotten along really well with the 2 female Shepherd mixes that also live in the house part-time and LOVES to play or go on walks with the neighbor’s Goldendoodle. He seems very “curious” about cats and tries to chase them, so he might do better in a house without one. Moses likes to relax on the couch or living room floor most of the time (or to be wherever you are), but also loves a nice long walk or to investigate the fenced in backyard. Despite his large size, he has excellent leash manners and does well on just a regular collar. He likes to watch people/things outside from the window and enjoys observing from the deck, but it’s very rare that he ever barks at anything. Sometimes he will watch animals on tv and tilt his head when there are noises and also enjoys a nice car ride with the windows down! Moses does well during the day if he’s left alone and has never torn up or chewed on anything in the house. He is potty trained, never had any accidents, and hasn’t had to be crated. He is very excited when you return home and ready to be loved on and to play. He knows a few basic commands (has mastered the art of “sit”) and has been working on lay down, stay, come, etc. He likes treats, frosty paws, and chewing on bones and doesn’t usually beg for people food. He really is just a big, laid back, love bug that always wants to be by your side! If you are interested in Moses, he is located in Clayton, NC. And if you are an approved adopter please contact your adoption coordinator and let them know! If not, and you are located in NC, VA, or MD please check out our website .southeastgermanshepherdrescue and be sure to read our FAQ section before applying! Visit our website for more information, including Frequently Asked Questions. I just mailed Santa a letter asking for my furever home for Christmas. Will you be my forever home?!?! I have been an SGSR dog since May and I gotta tell you, I LOVE IT! I was surrendered to a noisy, scary shelter by these people who said they were my family. They told the staff I was Heartworm Positive and couldn’t care for me anymore. Then they left me. Luckily the good folks at Southeast German Shepherd Rescue found out about me and saved me from death row!! My foster Mom & Dad took me in and told me, “Welcome to the good life!” Boy, were they right. I have a thing called a house that I share with my Foster Mom & Dad and a 10 year old human. My pack is made up of three other GSDs. I have learned how to get along with other dogs but still need a reminder sometimes on how to play nice. I get lots of attention right now which I LOVE! I also get to snuggle wherever I want….on the couch, on the bed! I LOVE snuggles! Oh, and I LOVE giving kisses!!! Now that I am healthy I have a ton of energy and would love someone to play ball with in my new home. I LOVE my orange ball and have to have it with my at all times. I really like my crate and am fine staying in it when the hoomans leave. I have learned that they always come back home to me! The Vet said I was about 3 years old.. Regardless of age I am puppy at heart. I’d really like to do some training so I can please my family even more. Did I say, I LOVE PEOPLE (even more than my orange ball)! Are you the people I’ve been looking for? Will you add me to your pack? Meet me and you will LOVE me. I just know it!!! I am being fostered in Clemmons, NC. If you are interested in adopting me, please contact your adoption coordinator, or fill out an application at .southeastgermanshepherdrescue . You MUST live in NC, VA or MD to adopt me. Posted Breed: Yorkshire Terrier Yorkie / Mixed (medium coat). I guess you can tell from my “before” picture that things weren’t going too well for me before H2H rescued me. No one even knew what kind of dog I was until I got a much-needed bath and haircut. Once I was all cleaned up, they discovered that I’m a young Yorkie mix, about 1 ½ years old, and they call me Jackson. I am housebroken, great on a leash and crate-trained. I am a friendly, happy guy and I really like to play with people and dogs. I would love an active home with another young dog who will likes to play as much as I do. I LOVE to go on long walks and play all the time, so I hope you do too! As you know, a tired dog is a good dog! If you are interested in adopting this dog, contact h2hadoptionsgmail.
