Posted Breed: Labrador Retriever / Mixed (short coat). Updated: 7-30-18 Hello!! My name is Ruby! I am 5 years old. I weigh around 40 lbs and probably won't gain much more. My coat is a beautiful dark chocolate brown and so incredibly soft. It is so soft you cannot stop petting me. This is what she loves the best is to be around her people. She absolutely loves to cuddle. The closer the better. The rescue suggest that she lives in a home with children OVER AGE OF 13. She is not fond of younger children that might pull her hair or the child is cuddling her to the point of bear hold. She is great walker on a leash but she has tendencies when walking to not focus on her walk. She might let the other dogs know by barking at them across the street. We have been working those skills. She also might like to bark when watching outside if there are people walking by to bark. This has been great progress. She easily redirected with a firm handler. We have a doggie door and she goes in and out at will. She is house and crate trained. She likes to chew on bones. She is in a home with 3 other dogs and she has respected them. If I could say, the perfect home for Ruby would be a family that just loves to cuddle and hang out. She adores her humans. The cutest thing is when I come home from work is that her butt cannot swing any farther back and forth. I call her a juggle butt!!! She is patiently awaiting her forever family. Could it be you? Adoption Fee: $400.00 We are a Wisconsin state licensed dog rescue -WI# 402433 ***We do not have a central adoption center at this time. All our dogs are in private foster homes within WI. Our Weight Classes are as follows: 0- 25lbs - Small 26- 45lbs - Medium 46-89 - Large 90+ X-large If you are adopting an adult dog, which we consider 6 months of age or older, your adoption fee includes the following: Spay/Neuter, Rabies and Distemper shots, dewormed, flea & tick preventative, heartworm tested and microchipped. If you are adopting a dog younger than 6 months of age, the dog will be up to date on the shots as per the dogs age. The dog will be dewormed, flea/tick preventative and microchipped. We only spay/neuter our dogs by 6 months of age. If you decide to adopt a younger dog than 6 months of age, they will need to be spayed/neutered at one of our preferred clinics. This will be determined by your contract along with the month they should have their surgery. This is included in your adoption fee. Once you are approved with our rescue, you can meet any one of our dogs within the fosters home. I am around 45 pounds and 8 months old, with an athletic build. My favorite thing is fetch, I can retrieve all day. Sometimes I can be shy meeting new people but when I am with a confident person I am fine. I also need a playful doggy friend to follow as I am not a leader. Foster mom has taken me into lots of people places like pet stores and into Lowes and I did great, I love the stores and meeting all the people, and the car rides. I get along with other dogs, cats, chickens and am housetrained. My people are important to me and I never stray far from them. When my foster mom leaves for work I go into my crate with no issues. The most important thing right now is finding the right person to help me prosper, my personality is a happy, playful pup. A family that loves the outdoors would be awesome. Posted Breed: Catahoula Leopard Dog / Mixed (medium coat). Updated: 8/2/2018 Hi everyone, I am called Cypher, but I am not hard at all to figure out! I am about 2 years old and weigh about 40 lbs. I am a very calm girl, so calm and loving that I could be a therapy dog for people who are very sad and need a lot of love. I like to play with a ball or Frisbee at times, and I also love to be close to whoever is taking care of me and loving me. I am cautious at first because some people were bad to me. But once I know that you are a good person, I will be very devoted to you. I have only barked once in the last month and that was a playful bark at the neighbor's dog. I went camping with my foster family and never barked and got along so well with the other animals and humans that everyone fell in love with me! I usually do not make mistakes in the house, but when I am nervous and unsure of the people around me, I might have an accident. Please do not punish me for that. I just need your love and understanding. I walk well on a leash and love going for walks. Sometimes, when I see a squirrel or rabbit, I will try to get it, so you have to have a good hold on me. But that has not stopped my family from taking me out on long walks. I am learning and I am very smart. Whenever my people start to get busy cooking dinner or working around the house, I just go in my kennel and wait for them to come back. I am very easy to take care of.
